Rebeltech Collective is an independent Singapore-based creative technology and filmmaking collective pioneering AI-human hybrid cinema through real-world documentary production, FPV cinematography, and emerging filmmaking technologies.
Rather than treating artificial intelligence as a replacement for filmmaking, Rebeltech Collective develops productions built from firsthand field expeditions, documentary research, original cinematography, and authentic human experiences. Every project begins with reality before AI extends the cinematic language.
The collective's flagship work, KOPI – The Human Journey Behind Your Coffee, is positioned as the world's first critically acclaimed AI-human hybrid documentary. Produced through a hybrid filmmaking methodology, the film combines documentary field production, original FPV drone cinematography, and generative AI within a unified production pipeline. Rather than generating a documentary through prompts alone, the team travelled across Indonesia to document coffee farmers, remote communities, and real environments firsthand before integrating AI to expand the visual language of the documentary while remaining grounded in reality.
Rebeltech Collective operates through its independently developed Void Deck Philosophy—a production mindset built on engineering, experimentation, fieldwork, and execution over convention. The collective believes emerging technologies should enhance authentic human stories, not replace them.
