Apparition: The Kuntilanak Legend
A documentary-style exploration into one of Southeast Asia's most feared ghosts, the Kuntilanak and Sundel Bolong. This film delves into the tragic origins of the myth, its cultural significance, and the modern-day paranormal hunters it inspires.
The journey culminates in a raw, unplanned investigation at a haunted Indonesian bridge, where the team captures shocking, unexplained footage on a mobile phone, leaving the audience to decide: myth or reality?
This project was created at the intersection of traditional filmmaking and cutting-edge AI technology.
Video Generation: Google Veo 3 and Hailuo AI was used to create atmospheric, hyper-realistic establishing shots of Indonesian landscapes and to generate conceptual visual representations of the myth based on the script's descriptions (e.g., a woman in a white gown transforming, spectral effects).
Voiceover: The narration was generated and performed by Hailuo AI (Minimax) using a custom model trained on documentary-style narration, adjusted for pacing, tone, and emotional delivery to build suspense and credibility.
Script Refinement: The narrative structure and dialogue were refined and polished using DeepSeek to ensure clarity, cultural accuracy, and maximum impact for an international audience.
Music & Sound Design: The original score and sound effects were sourced from Epidemic Sound, curated to build tension and enhance the documentary-horror atmosphere.
Editing & Color Grading: Final assembly, color grading (creating a distinct look for the narrated sections vs. the raw "found footage"), sound mixing, and mastering were completed in DaVinci Resolve.

RebelTech Collective is a Singapore-based content creation collective built on raw passion, relentless experimentation, and an unapologetic disregard for the rules. We didn’t come from film schools or corporate ad agencies. We learned filmmaking from scratch, fueled by a rebellious spirit and a hunger to create something truly different.
Before cameras and scripts, we cut our teeth in the events, nightlife and entertainment scene, building a name through unconventional marketing. Then we pivoted to tech, running a successful business until we shut it all down to chase something bigger: storytelling without limits. No offices. No air-conditioned meetings. Just a team of partners huddled under the void decks of HDB blocks, dreaming up wild ideas that shouldn’t work but do.
Our content doesn’t follow trends. it defies them. From FPV drones screaming over active volcanoes to AI-generated horror shorts, VR music experiments, and tech adventures in places no one dares to film, we thrive on the unpredictable. We don’t do reviews. We don’t mimic. We build worlds, push tech to its breaking point, and turn "what if?" into "watch this."
Because why film a gadget unboxing in a studio when you could do it on the edge of a crater?

No Rules. Just Create.
At Rebeltech Collective, we’ve always been driven by the endless possibilities of technology. As tech content creators, our work is defined by a commitment to constant learning and adaptation, whether it's exploring the latest in AI or deconstructing complex systems for a wider audience.
