REGOLAMENTO/RULES
Art. 1 | La Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto nell'ambito delle sue molteplici attività culturali, organizza ogni anno, dal 1990, un festival documentaristico internazionale dedicato al patrimonio culturale, dal 2021 denominato RAM film festival. Rovereto, Archeologia, Memorie (IFF). Il Festival ha lo scopo di raggiungere e sensibilizzare il grande pubblico sui temi della ricerca archeologica, della tutela e valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale materiale e immateriale, della storia e delle tradizioni di popoli e culture. Il Festival si svolge nella città di Rovereto (Trentino Alto Adige).
Art. 1 | Since 1990 The Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation, as part of its many cultural activities, has organized an international documentary festival dedicated to the cultural heritage. The Festival aims at reaching and informing the general public about archaeological research, the preservation and enhancement of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. From 2021 on, the Festival is called RAM film festival. Rovereto, Archeology, Memory (IFF). The Festival takes place in the city of Rovereto (Trentino Alto Adige).
Art. 2 | Il RAM film festival ospita opere di ogni nazionalità ed è aperto a produttori, registi e autori che abbiano realizzato opere cinematografiche nel settore archeologico, storico, paletnologico, antropologico, e comunque aventi come scopo la tutela e la valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale materiale e immateriale. Sono ammessi documentari, docu-fiction, filmati full dome fino a 65 minuti di durata e corti di animazione fino a 30 minuti. Sono previste quattro sezioni del Festival:
- Cinema Archeologico (sezione principale)
- L'Italia si racconta
- Cultura Animata (animazioni)
- Sguardi dal mondo
Art. 2 | RAM film festival is open to producers, film directors and cinema and television authors with documentaries and films from all over the world about archaeology, history, paleo ethnology, anthropology, art, with the aim of preserving and enhancing tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Documentaries, docu-fiction, fulldome films up to 65 minutes and animated films up to 30 minutes are admitted. There are four sections of the Festival:
- Archaeological Cinema (main section)
- Italy tells itself
- Animated Culture (animations)
- Glimpses from around the World
Art. 3 | L’iscrizione dei film viene fatta attraverso la piattaforma FilmFreeway. L’iscrizione per la selezione comporta una entry fee di euro 7 (gratis per i progetti di studenti e per li corti animati) per le spese di segreteria, non rimborsabile. Il Comitato di selezione del RAM film festival valuta tutte le opere iscritte e seleziona le produzioni ammesse al Festival. Terminate le valutazioni, la segreteria organizzativa ha cura di informare dell'esito tutti coloro che hanno partecipato alla selezione entro il giorno 1 luglio. La successiva partecipazione al Festival è libera e gratuita.
Art. 3 | An entry fee of Euro 7 (free for students’ projects) has to be paid through FilmFreeway. Entry fees are requested to cover administrative costs and are not refundable. The Festival Board selects the films to be accepted for the Festival. There are no further fees for the participation in the Festival. The festival office will inform all submitters of the outcome of the selection process by July, 1st.
Art. 4 | Ogni anno, nell'ambito della RAM film festival, viene attribuito il premio "RAM film festival" al film che ha ottenuto il maggior gradimento da parte del pubblico, cui viene chiesto di esprimersi attraverso un voto. Sono previsti anche premi attribuiti da giurie per le diverse sezioni, in base alla strutturazione del programma e ai film selezionati.
Art. 4 | Every year the "Ram film festival" prize is awarded to the most appreciated film by the audience, who are asked to express a vote. All selected films compete. There will be special mentions for each section awarded by special Juries, based on the 2023 program.
Art. 5 | A cadenza biennale (anni dispari) viene bandito un concorso cinematografico con un premio in denaro di euro 3.000,00 denominato "Premio Paolo Orsi". In questo ambito, il premio Paolo Orsi viene assegnato all'opera della sezione "Cinema Archeologico" giudicata la più meritevole per le elevate qualità artistiche e scientifiche, da una Giuria Internazionale composta da personalità di chiara fama nel mondo archeologico, cinematografico e culturale. L'ammissione al concorso Paolo Orsi è deliberata insindacabilmente dalla Commissione di selezione del Festival. La Commissione terrà conto in particolare della qualità artistica e scientifica dell'opera cinematografica e dell'aderenza alle finalità del Festival. Per il “Premio Paolo Orsi” non saranno ammesse opere prodotte anteriormente al 2023.
Art. 5 | Every two years (in odd years) the "Paolo Orsi Award" (Euro 3.000) is given to the most deserving documentary for artistic and scientific qualities by an International Jury made up of renowned representatives of the world of cinema and culture in the section “Cinema Archeologico”. The admission to the “Paolo Orsi Award” selection is deliberated by the Festival selection Board. The committee will select works with artistic, scientific and technical qualities, corresponding to the aims of the Festival. To the “Paolo Orsi Award” works produced before 2023 are not admitted.
Art. 6 | Subito dopo la selezione al Festival (comunicata via email) è necessario seguire le indicazioni elencate di seguito:
- rendere scaricabile il film da FilmFreeway o altra piattaforma o inviare copia digitale dell'opera a segreteria@ramfilmfestival.it. Il film deve essere in full HD 1080p, 1920x1080 (.mp4, .m4v o .mov) max 10 giga.
- rendere disponibili per la promozione tre fotografie di buona qualità del film in formato .jpg o .png, possibilmente 300 dpi, e il trailer in formato .mp4 o .mov, max 10 GIGA, FullHD 1080p (1920x1080)
- le opere in lingua diversa dall'italiano dovranno essere accompagnate dai sottotitoli in .srt o .ass, o dalla trascrizione dei testi, completi di interviste, preferibilmente in italiano o in inglese e qualora non fosse possibile in tedesco, francese o spagnolo.
- ogni opera entrerà a far parte dell'archivio storico del Ram film festival.
- per le opere italiane si richiede se possibile un file di sottotitoli inglesi in .srt o .ass per la visione da parte delle giurie internazionali.
L’avvenuta selezione deve rimanere riservata (con embargo) fino al 1 luglio 2024, a selezioni terminate e comunicate.
Art. 6 | Soon after the selection (e-mailed by the festival office) it is necessary to follow the listed below instructions:
- made the film downloadable from FilmFreeway or other platforms or drives, or send it to segreteria@ramfilmfestiival.it. The film must be in the following format: full HD 1080p 1920x1080 (mp4, m4v or mov) max 10 giga.
- In order to promote the film, send via email 3 (three) high-resolution images or screen-shots (preferably 300 dpi) in .jpg or .png format, 300 dpi and a trailer ì .mp4 or .mov, max 10 GIGA, FullHD 1080p (1920x1080), or make them downloadable from FilmFreeway or other platform like Vimeo.
- for works in a language other than Italian subtitles .srt or .ass or the transcription of the texts (complete of interviews) must be sent, preferably in Italian or in English, German, French or Spanish.
- for the Italian film a .srt or .ass file with English subtitles should be required for the International Jury.
- each work will become part of the historical archive of the Festival.
Every person associated with the selected films must not make their participation public till 1st July, until the festival communicates by email all the selected films.
Art. 7 | Testi, immagini e brevi sequenze dell'opera, non superiore ai due minuti, potranno essere utilizzate a fini promozionali del Festival, per il sito web, i canali social e per il programma cartaceo, oltre che dagli organi di informazione.
Art. 7 | Texts, images and short clips from the films up to two minutes may be used for promotional purposes, for the web site, social channels and printed programmes as well as for press communication.
Art. 8 | Nell'ambito delle proprie attività, la Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto offre la possibilità di un'ampia divulgazione, presso enti e istituzioni culturali, di tutte le opere ammesse al Festival e regolarmente catalogate in banca dati. I titolari dei diritti delle opere autorizzano la Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto - RAM film festival - ad utilizzare le loro opere per iniziative culturali, didattiche e di divulgazione promosse dalla Fondazione Museo Civico o condotte con la sua collaborazione, senza royalties. È escluso l'utilizzo per finalità commerciali. Vengono privilegiati per queste attività i canali del Museo, il canale digitale History Lab, il circuito dei festival consorziati (Religion Today Film Festival, Trento Film Festival), degli Istituti Italiani di cultura e la Federazione Europea dei Festival dei Film d'Archeologia e del Patrimonio Culturale. I titolari dei diritti delle opere saranno tempestivamente informati dalla segreteria del Festival circa l'utilizzo che sarà di volta in volta fatto per la divulgazione e promozione culturale delle opere stesse.
Art. 8 | As part of its normal activities, the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation offers the possibility of widespread dissemination among cultural organizations and institutions of all the selected works, officially catalogued in its data bank. The copyright-holders authorize the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation - RAM film festival - to use their works for cultural and educational activities and for dissemination promoted by the Civic Museum Foundation or carried out in collaboration with it, without royalties. Use for any commercial purposes is excluded. For these activities, the Festival consortium (Religion Today Film Festival, Trento Film Festival), the Italian Cultural Institutes and the European Federation of Festivals of Films of Archaeology and the Cultural Heritage, the Museum's website and webchannel, History Lab digital channel, have the priority. The copyright owners will be opportunely notified each time by the Festival's office of their use for dissemination and cultural promotion of their works.
Art. 9 | La partecipazione al RAM film festival comporta l'accettazione di tutte le norme contenute nel presente regolamento. I dati personali verranno trattati secondo quanto previsto dal Decreto Legge sulla Privacy del 30/06/2003 n. 196 e successive modificazioni ed integrazioni.
Art. 9 | The participation in the Festival means the acceptance of these terms. Personal data will be treated according to the Italian laws for personal data protection (d. Lgs. 196/2003) and following additions.
