Thank you so much for awarding my film "The Blue Hour" best student short and best screenplay! I was not able to attend the showcase in person, but Randy kept in contact to ensure that my certificates would be sent to me. To have an event dedicated to celebrating and showcasing local filmmakers is so amazing. Very excited to see the future of PrairieFest and rising talent.

This was their first year and ironically also my first time to enter or even attend a film festival. Everyone was very nice. It was a small, quaint theater that had a family vibe.
The only critique I would have is that the sound needed to be adjusted a little bit to bring down the bass levels as any movie with a decent soundtrack was tending to overpower the speakers. For colorists, you might cheat your black levels for this as this projector tends to crush the blacks. I think it is probably a standard definition projector and so anything with more range and details are going to get lost.
Overall I really enjoyed the experience and look forward to entering next year.
