The Pioneertown International Film Festival is a three-day event held annually in the iconic town that was built by Roy Rogers and immortalized in hundreds of Westerns. The PIFF is at once a celebration of independent cinema and a showcase of iconic Western movies featuring Paramount Pictures' gloriously restored classic Westerns from their extensive archives, a special showcase of the Westerns of Jack Nicholson and Monte Hellman presented by Jennifer Nicholson and Melissa Hellman, and more.
Additionally, guests will be treated to special events including excursions on horseback through the countryside, legendary bands playing the Opening and Closing events, Old West black tie evenings, VIP dinners with Filmmakers and Guests of Honor under the stars, and Masterclasses with some of the industry's top professionals. All events and screenings will be held in the unique historic buildings in Pioneertown including the original Pioneertown Soundstage of Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, and the adjacent Desert Willow horse ranch that will host a round the clock Welcome Lounge with a craft cocktail bar and ranch lounge setting.
All films will be presented in the highest quality state-of-the-art Christie 4K digital technology and Dolby surround sound. The directors and stars of the films will be present to offer introductions, Q&As, and attend VIP Filmmaker Dinners. The PIFF promises to be a prominent boutique film festival on the global stage, bringing the past into the present with a bang and a whinny.
