Pasadena Horror Film Festival (PHFF) is a three-day International Horror Film Festival, which aims to celebrate Horror-Movies-Filmmakers-Fans & Fanatics alike.

Historically, the city of Pasadena, California is one of the most haunted places in Los Angeles and home of the infamous Suicide Bridge. In the movie, John Carpenter’s 1978 slasher "Halloween" was set in a fictional town in Illinois, but actually it was filmed in South Pasadena. According to Ghost Hunters of Urban Los Angeles (GHOULA), Pasadena is loaded with folklore and unanswered mysteries—so we think it’s the perfect home to host a horror film festival.

Cinematically, the horror genre is manifested in many forms--from slasher to splatter, to supernatural or sci-fi, from paranormal to psychological, to mysteries, monsters and many more... PHFF's goal is to bring diversity to the horror genre by selecting the scariest, most frightening and viscerally heart-wrenching shorts and feature films from around the globe.

Film submissions will be viewed by a panel of judges that consist of directors, investors, professional actors and film critics. All films will be given equal consideration during the judging process. It doesn't matter the budget of the film, we want to see it!

Those filmmakers that are officially selected will enjoy multiple red carpet events, a filmmaker's mixer with guest speakers and an award show with a wicked after-party. Indulge in opportunities to meet the judges, network with investors, and share insights about your film to the press.

Submit your vision of horror to the Pasadena Horror Film Festival. We can't wait to check out your film and see what you have to add to the horror community!
