J. Budro Partida is an Emmy award-winning video producer and award-winning filmmaker from Austin, Texas. He has worked professionally in television and media production for nearly 25 years. His spectrum of work includes award-winning short films and music videos, television commercials, and multiple television series, including "Professor Griffin's Midnight Theatre" and the Emmy award-winning late night TV series, "Austin After Hours". He is a 12-time Telly Award winner (including a Silver Telly), and has garnered multiple industry awards throughout his career. In 2022, his documentary short "Sunset at Dry Creek" won "Best Documentary" at The Longhorn Film Festival in Fort Worth, TX. In 2020, his micro-short, "Devastated" won the Platinum Award (beating 375+ other short films) and named Season 6 Winner of the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge Competition in 2020. His 2019 werewolf short, "Bewere", won "Best Horror Film" at the 2020 Austin Indie Fest, "Best Picture" at the 2020 Demonic Brilliance Film Festival and won "Best Horror Short" at the 2019 San Antonio Horrific Film Fest. He is currently serving as Director and Producer on the feature-length documentary in-production titled "Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story of The Back Room". In 2013, he formed his production company, PennyRock Productions LLC.

His son's middle name is Gunnar, named after original Leatherface actor, Gunnar Hansen, from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". His daughter's first name is Penelope (or Penny), named after Pennywise the Clown from Stephen King's "IT".
Budro's daughter, Penny, was born on a Friday the 13th. To commemorate the occasion, he got a tattoo of Hello Kitty wearing the signature Jason mask, complete with bloody machete.
Is an avid dvd collector with over 1,350 titles in his collection, with a majority of them being horror. He once ripped out a walk-in closet and built custom shelving to convert it into a dvd library.
His favorite band is The Misfits. He has the band's signature logo, the Crimson Ghost, tattooed on his right forearm. After a show at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX, the band's co-founder and bassist, Jerry Only, autographed his name right above the tattoo. Budro went straight to a tattoo shop from the show and got the autograph tattooed over.
Has a tattoo of Bela Lugosi on his left forearm.
Collects reprints of EC Comics horror titles from the 1950's including "Tales From The Crypt", "The Vault of Horror" and "The Haunt of Fear".
Made his first film at 14 years old with friends for a creative writing class in high school. It was the only film in the class that had a music score soundtrack, title cards and was edited completely in-camera with a vhs camcorder.
Directed, shot and edited the music video, "See Aloud" by The Barebones Orchestra.
His nickname, "Budro", is a modified version of the Cajun name "Boudreaux".
Every year for Halloween, he displays a full size zombie in his front yard. His daughter affectionately named the zombie, Miguel, after a boy in her class.
Is a Chicago Cubs fan. He proposed to his wife, Monica, on Wrigley Field.
