Partick Film Festival takes place in unique venues across Partick in the West End of Glasgow.

We showcase films from Scotland and beyond and host special screenings, masterclasses and talks by Film & TV professionals.

Our ethos is to make as many of our events FREE of charge in order to give everyone an opportunity to access events at the festival and we can do this thanks to our funding and sponsorship.

Our festival also celebrates the best of independent cinema from around the world and our mission is to provide a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work and connect with audiences in Scotland

Partick has been used as a location in numerous film and TV shows including Trainspotting, Carla's Song, Shetland, Taggart and Batgirl.

Partick is also the hometown of the Scottish comedian and actor Billy Connolly and we'll have an award named in his honour.

  • Partick Film Festival is such a welcoming festival, with a really honourable focus on accessibility and openness. I was honoured to be part of the 2026 edition, and can't wait to attend more in the future.

Fabulous festival. Well organised and one that champions community. Super to have my film play in my home town and be amongst a great group of people. Well done Joe and team!

Solar Bear is an arts charity working with the deaf community. We had 2 films at the festival (2025), the communication and event was excellent. Even though it is a small festival they took the effort to make sure the event was accessible to a deaf audience and filmmakers.
