XX FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL “PIRIÁPOLIS DE PELÍCULA”
COMPETENCIA IBEROAMERICANA DE CORTOMETRAJES
(ENGLISH AND PORTUGUESE, BELOW) 1.- El 20º Festival Internacional Piriápolis de Película, a realizarse los días 20, 21 y 22 de octubre de 2023, convoca al Concurso de Cortos Iberoamericanos, con el objetivo de estimular y difundir la producción de cortos de la región y el continente.
2.- Podrán participar, para la Competencia Iberoamericana, los cortometrajes producidos y realizados en países latinoamericanos, o de habla hispana y portuguesa, aunque tengan producción de otros países fuera del continente, pero el origen del proyecto y su realización debe estar en un país latinoamericano, o España y Portugal.
3.- Deberán haber sido realizados a partir del 1 de enero de 2021 y en las siguientes categorías: ficción, documental y animación. La duración máxima aceptada por trabajo será de 15 minutos. Los cortos no podrán haber sido exhibidos en anteriores ediciones del festival y se dará prioridad a aquellos que sean estreno nacional o regional.
4.- Las realizaciones podrán haber sido producidas en cualquier formato fílmico o digital, pero deberán presentarse para su exhibición en los siguientes formato H264- estéreo-1920x1080 o similar (MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- En el caso de trabajos que no sean originalmente en idioma español, deberá venir con subtítulos incrustados en español o que se envíen acompañados de archivo SRT con los subtítulos en español y códigos de tiempo (REQUISITO EXCLUYENTE).
6.- La fecha límite para la recepción de los materiales es el viernes 15 de setiembre de 2023.
7.- Un jurado internacional de tres miembros discernirá los premios en las diferentes categorías y su fallo será inapelable. También habrá un jurado juvenil que emitirá su veredicto, además de los Premios del Público.
8.- El festival procurará brindar facilidades para la presencia de los realizadores de los cortos seleccionados durante el festival, pero la aceptación del corto no implica otorgar invitación con pasaje y alojamiento, el que deberá correr por cuenta del participante.
9.- La inscripción del corto en el festival implica la aceptación tácita de las presentes bases. Cualquier imprevisto no establecido en estas Bases y Reglamentos, o que surja durante el Festival, será interpretado y resuelto única y exclusivamente por el Comité Organizador, y no dará lugar a ningún tipo de reclamo posterior.
(ENGLISH) XX PIRIÁPOLIS DE PELÍCULA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
IBERO-AMERICAN SHORT FILMS COMPETITION
1.- The 20th Piriápolis International Film Festival, to be held on October 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2023, calls for the Ibero-American Short Film Competition, with the objective of stimulating and disseminating the production of short films from the region and the continent.
2.- For the Iberoamerican Competition, short films produced and made in Latin American countries, or Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, can participate, even if they have production from other countries outside the continent, but the origin of the project and its realization must be in a Latin American country, or Spain and Portugal.
3.- They must have been made as of January 1st, 2021 and in the following categories: Fiction, Documentary and Animation. The maximum length accepted per film will be 15 minutes. The short films may not have been exhibited in previous editions of the festival and priority will be given to those that are national or regional premieres.
4.- The productions may have been produced in any film or digital format, but must be presented for exhibition in the following formats: H264-stereo-1920x1080 or similar (MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- In the case of films that are not originally in Spanish, they must come with Spanish subtitles embedded in them or be sent with an SRT file with Spanish subtitles and time codes (ESSENTIAL CONDITION).
6.- The deadline for the reception of materials is September15th, 2023.
7.- An international jury of three members will discern the awards in the different categories and their decision will be final. There will also be a cinema students jury that will issue its verdict, and the Audience Choice Awards.
8.- The festival will try to provide facilities for the presence of the filmmakers of the selected short films during the festival, but the acceptance of the short film does not imply the granting of an invitation with ticket and accommodation, which must be paid for by the participant.
9.- The submission of the short film in the festival implies the tacit acceptance of these rules. Any unforeseen circumstance not established in these Forms and Regulations, or that arises during the Festival, will be interpreted and resolved solely and exclusively by the Organizing Committee, and will not give rise to any kind of subsequent claim.
(PORTUGUESE) XX FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL "PIRIÁPOLIS DE PELÍCULA - COMPETIÇÃO IBERO-AMERICANA DE CURTAS-METRAGENS
1.- O 20º Festival Internacional de Cinema de Piriápolis, a ser realizado nos dias 20, 21 e 22 do Outubro 2023, convoca a Competição Ibero-Americana de Curtas Metragens, com o objetivo de estimular e divulgar a produção de curtas-metragens da região e do continente.
2.- Para a Competição Ibero-Americana, podem participar curtas-metragens produzidos e realizados em países latino-americanos, ou países de língua espanhola e portuguesa, mesmo que tenham produção de outros países fora do continente, mas a origem do projeto e sua realização deve ser em um país latino-americano, ou Espanha e Portugal.
3.- Devem ter sido produzidos a partir de 1º de janeiro de 2021 e nas seguintes categorias: ficção, documentário e animação. A duração máxima aceita por trabalho será de 15 minutos. Os curtas-metragens podem não ter sido exibidos nas edições anteriores do festival e a prioridade será dada àqueles que são estréias nacionais ou regionais.
4.- As produções podem ter sido produzidas em qualquer filme ou formato digital, mas devem ser apresentadas para exibição nos seguintes formatos:H264-estereo-1920x1080 ou similares (MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- No caso de obras que não estejam originalmente em espanhol, elas devem vir com legendas em espanhol ou ser enviadas com um arquivo SRT com legendas em espanhol e códigos de tempo (CONDIÇÃO ESSENCIAL).
6.- O prazo para o recebimento de materiais é 15 de Setembro do 2023.
7.- Um júri internacional de três membros discernirá os prêmios nas diferentes categorias e sua decisão será final. Haverá também um júri juvenil que emitirá seu veredicto, e também os Prêmios do Público.
8.- O festival tentará proporcionar facilidades para a presença dos cineastas dos curtas selecionados durante o festival, mas a aceitação do curta-metragem não implica a concessão de um convite com ingresso e hospedagem, que deve ser pago pelo participante.
9.- A inscrição do curta no festival implica a aceitação tácita destas regras. Qualquer evento imprevisto não estabelecido neste Regulamento, ou que surja durante o Festival, será interpretado e resolvido única e exclusivamente pelo Comitê Organizador, e não dará lugar a qualquer tipo de reivindicação subseqüente.
