XXIII FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL “PIRIÁPOLIS DE PELÍCULA”
COMPETENCIA IBEROAMERICANA DE CORTOMETRAJES
(ENGLISH AND PORTUGUESE, BELOW) 1.- El 23º Festival Internacional Piriápolis de Película convoca al Concurso de Cortos Iberoamericanos, con el objetivo de estimular y difundir la producción de cortos de la región y el continente.
2.- Podrán participar para la Competencia Iberoamericana los cortometrajes producidos y realizados en países iberoamericanos, o de habla hispana o portuguesa aunque tengan producción de otros países fuera de la región.
3.- Deberán haber sido realizados a partir del 1 de enero de 2024 y en las siguientes categorías: ficción, documental y animación. La duración máxima aceptada por trabajo será de 15 minutos. Las películas no podrán haber sido exhibidas en anteriores ediciones del festival y se dará prioridad a aquellas que sean estreno nacional o regional.
4.- Las realizaciones podrán haber sido producidas en cualquier formato fílmico o digital, pero deberán presentarse para su exhibición en los siguientes formato H264- estéreo-1920x1080 o similar (MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- En el caso de trabajos que no sean originalmente en idioma español, deberá venir con subtítulos incrustados en español o que se envíen acompañados de archivo SRT con los subtítulos en español y códigos de tiempo (REQUISITO EXCLUYENTE).
6.- La fecha límite para la recepción de materiales es el 4 de setiembre de 2026.
7.- Un jurado internacional de tres miembros discernirá los premios en la categoría de cortometrajes y su fallo será inapelable. También habrá un jurado estudiantil que emitirá su veredicto.
8.- El festival procurará brindar facilidades para la presencia de los realizadores de los trabajos seleccionados durante el festival, pero la aceptación de los mismos no implica otorgar invitación con pasaje y alojamiento, el que deberá correr por cuenta del participante.
9.- La inscripción de la película en el festival implica la aceptación tácita de las presentes bases. Cualquier imprevisto no establecido en estas Bases y Reglamentos, o que surja durante el Festival, será interpretado y resuelto única y exclusivamente por el Comité Organizador, y no dará lugar a ningún tipo de reclamo posterior.

IBERO-AMERICAN SHORT FILMS COMPETITION
1.- The 23rd Piriápolis de Película International Film Festival calls for entries to the Ibero-American Short Film Competition, with the aim of stimulating and disseminating the production of short films from the region and the continent.
2.- The Ibero-American Competition is open to short films produced and directed in Ibero-American countries, or Spanish or Portuguese speaking countries, even if they are produced in other countries outside the region.
3.- They must have been made after January 1st, 2024 and in the following categories: fiction, documentary and animation. The maximum length accepted per film will be 15 minutes. Films may not have been screened in previous editions of the festival and priority will be given to those that are national or regional premieres.
4.- The films may have been produced in any film or digital format, but must be submitted for exhibition in the following formats: H264-stereo-1920x1080 or similar (MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- In the case of films that are not originally in Spanish, they must come with embedded subtitles in Spanish or be sent with an SRT file with Spanish subtitles and time codes (EXCLUDING REQUIREMENT).
6.- The deadline for the reception of materials is September 4th, 2026.
7.- An international jury of three members will discern the awards in the short films category and its decision will be final. There will also be a student jury that will issue its verdict.
8.- The festival will try to provide facilities for the presence of the filmmakers of the selected films during the festival, but their acceptance does not imply the granting of an invitation with airfare and lodging, which must be paid by the participant.
9.- The registration of the film in the festival implies the tacit acceptance of these rules. Any unforeseen event not established in these Rules and Regulations, or arising during the Festival, will be interpreted and resolved solely and exclusively by the Organizing Committee, and will not give rise to any subsequent claim.

COMPETIÇÃO IBERO-AMERICANA DE CURTAS-METRAGENS
1.- O 23º Festival Internacional de Cinema de Piriápolis de Película abre inscrições para a Competição Ibero-americana de Curtas-metragens, com o objetivo de estimular e difundir a produção de curtas-metragens da região e do continente.
2.- A Competição Ibero-americana está aberta a curtas-metragens produzidos e dirigidos em países ibero-americanos, ou de língua espanhola ou portuguesa, mesmo que tenham sido produzidos em outros países fora da região.
3.- Devem ter sido realizados a partir de 1º de janeiro de 2024 e nas seguintes categorias: ficção, documentário e animação. A duração máxima aceita por obra será de 15 minutos. Os filmes não poderão ter sido exibidos em edições anteriores do festival e será dada prioridade àqueles que forem estreias nacionais ou regionais.
4.- Os filmes podem ter sido produzidos em qualquer formato cinematográfico ou digital, mas devem ser enviados para exibição nos seguintes formatos: H264-stereo-1920x1080 ou similar (MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- No caso de obras que não estejam originalmente em espanhol, deverão vir com legendas incorporadas em espanhol ou ser enviadas com um arquivo SRT com as legendas em espanhol e códigos de tempo (EXCLUINDO REQUISITO).
6 - O prazo para o recebimento dos materiais é 4 de setembro de 2026.
7 - Um júri internacional de três membros discernirá os prêmios na categoria de curta-metragem e sua decisão será definitiva. Haverá também um júri de estudantes que dará seu veredicto.
8 - O festival tentará proporcionar facilidades para a presença dos diretores das obras selecionadas durante o festival, mas sua aceitação não implica a concessão de convite com passagem aérea e hospedagem, que deverão ser pagas pelo participante.
9.- A inscrição do filme no festival implica a aceitação tácita destas regras. Qualquer imprevisto não estabelecido nestas Regras e Regulamentos, ou que surja durante o Festival, será interpretado e resolvido única e exclusivamente pelo Comitê Organizador, não dando margem a reclamações posteriores.
