The rules
We’ve cut it down to 4 rules:
-Make a short film up to 15 min in length (Plus credits). It can be on any topic you like.
-Main Language English **If there is dialogue or text on screen (Subtitles are required if your film is in another language)
-Use Royalty free music or any licensed or original song
-Share your film and encourage your friends, family, and fans to vote – there’s a People’s Choice Prize (TBA) to be won for the film with the most public votes!

**How old can my project be and still qualify for submission?
**Can I submit a film that is not in English?
We accept short films in any language. However, projects containing non-English dialogue must include English subtitles on screen at the time of submission.
**Do I need to meet a minimum age requirement to submit a project?
No, we encourage artists of all ages to submit their work. However, we are required to check the entrant’s age. Entrants shall be considered as Minors for the purpose of the challenge if they are over the age of 13 years old and under the age of 18 years old. We will require signed, written permission from your parent or legal guardian in that case.
**Which video formats do you accept?
We do not accept submissions on any physical media. All projects must be delivered as online screeners on the Nova 7 page, which offers the entry of Vimeo or YouTube links.
Can my entry contain graphic violence, nudity, coarse language or other adult content?
While there are no strict content guidelines for your short film, if your entry is deemed
too graphic or contains content that is deemed inappropriate, we may refuse to accept
your entry.
**How will the prizes be sent to the winners?
Nova 7 will deliver the prize packages to their respective winners at each winner’s
address specified in the contest entry form. All shipping costs of the Prize Packages to
the address of the winners will be covered by NOVA 7.
