I am a tranversal artist eager to bring my videopoems or short films to an active audience. Like my creation process, it is personal but migrates to the wider world. My firts step is research. A lot of reading, viewing and assimilation. In this my concept and location grows. The actual location is part of the exploration, and it usualy becomes one of the characters. Images and sounds are original, recorded on-site, keeping the rough edges, reffering to a documentary style, however also to juxtapose to the all-too-perfect simulacra in our society. The outcome is not literally, nor is there a classical plot. The proces of creation is drenched in realtime and lived poetry. In my studio I revive the objets-trouves: I simultanuously edit images and video, refine the poetry and compose music. There is a sort of surreal humour, irony and self-mockery that always creeps in, I cannot help it, I actually welcome it.
The main topics surfacing are ecology, human primal behaviour and art, nonhuman entities, nature and culture, landscape, aesthetics, hyperreality and virtuality, my personal life, and ofcourse interacting with you, the other. Philosophically I am influenced by Nietzsche, Sartre, Camus, Morton and Deleuze.
