Tournesol
In the heart of fertile France is a small village, Athis. Hidden behind abandoned production sheds and a worn gasoline station, I found an uncanny field of sunflowers...
Timothy Morton introduced the notion of agrilogistics, axioms that have driven our society since the introduction of farming. This short film shows the consequences of unlimited human progress. At the end of the cycle, there is decay and the entropy of wild nature. Remarkably, in this process, sunflowers and humans have the same reflex: turn to the sun, a clock, and a guiding logic, the center of our existence.
