Submissions for #NZWF23 are open on 1 February.

Since 2015 NZ Web Fest has curated and celebrated online entertainment. Since 2017 the festival has been a proud participant in the Web Series World Cup. In 2023 the festival becomes a participant in the inaugural edition of the Audio Fiction Wprld Cup.

We've simplified submissions by using open categories only, but will make selections and present awards in separate NZ and International categories as we usually do.

NZ Web Fest also runs a Pitch competition open to international and NZ series projects.

In 2023 we're excited to expand with the addition of new submission categories for podcasts and short films - which we expect to flow through to the creation of at least 15 new award categories.

In addition, we've increased the number of awards in the web series categories to better reward the technical skills which make the shows so enjoyable.

#NZWF23 will present awards.

We expect to present separate NZ and International awards in all categories, subject to a minimum of three shows being selected in the category.

Thanks, Jeff. We tried a few new things this year - obviously including podcasts such as your Party of One. We were very pleased with the results, and look forward to building on the podcast programme next year, and giving creators more opportunities to participate in the festival.
