Submission Requirements
The NYC Halloween Film Festival is currently accepting submissions of all lengths including but not limited to: Narratives, Documentaries, Animations, Music Videos and Web Series.
Films must be submitted in .mov or .mp4 format for selection. All submitted films must allow us to download the file in HD or 4K formats. Entries selected may be required to deliver a DCP by the stated deadline in order to be included in the festival programming.
Films cannot be publicly available online prior to the festival date.
Films in a language other than English require English subtitles for Festival Screening.
If your film is selected into another festival for the 2026 season in the New York area, you must notify us among notification. This does not disqualify your film from being selected.
If your film is selected, the selection is final and cannot be withdrawn.
Terms & Conditions
All submissions selected into the festival grant the NYC Halloween Film Festival the right to use stills, titles, posters, footage from the screener and all submitted publicity photos for promotional purposes, without limitations.
