Through events, community engagement, industry panels, workshops, and film screenings by acclaimed and up-and-coming talent, Mystic Film Festival aims to create a special experience for both filmmaker and audience.

The 2nd Annual Mystic Film Festival will take place from October 2 to October 6, 2019 in Mystic, Connecticut and neighboring Connecticut Shoreline towns. The festival will close with a gala awards ceremony for filmmakers and invited guests.

Mystic Film Festival will screen a variety of films over the course of 4 days and 5 nights, including Q&A’s with filmmakers in attendance, industry panels, networking events, and workshops.

Excellent festival! Shareen Anderson (the artistic director), a filmmaker herself, did a great job. I was extremely fortunate to have my first feature film (Starfish), chosen to be the opening night film of the festival and to win an award. It was a wonderful experience all around. Great films (shorts, features, docs), Q&A, panel discussion etc. There was even a lifetime achievement award given to the inspiring actor/director Austin Pendelton on closing night as well as beautiful awards "statues" given to filmmakers. Any filmmaker will be lucky to be a part of this festival. I hope I can be a part of it again in the future.
