Michelle Tang is a narrative and documentary filmmaker studying Psychology and Film Production at Princeton University. Tang created her first film when she was 13 and fell in love with filmmaking. Since then, her films have screened at over 70 film festivals worldwide, including the Woodstock Film Festival and the Mill Valley Film Festival, accruing over 30 awards. Notably, Tang is a two-time National Student Emmy nominee, a Scholastic American Visions Award finalist, and a YoungArts winner. In 2024, she was named an Emma Bowen Foundation Fellow and was accepted into the Gotham Film and Media Development Program. As a Psychology major, Tang enjoys exploring concepts related to learning, behavior, and identity in her films and employs a psychological lens throughout the production process.
