Michelle Tang is a 19-year-old filmmaker studying Psychology and Film Production at Princeton University. She made her first film at the age of 13. Because her school district did not have a film program, she taught herself production by watching Youtube videos and reading filmmaking guides.
Since then, Tang has worked on over 50 projects in a variety of creative and technical positions. Her films have screened at over 70 film festivals worldwide, including the Woodstock Film Festival and the Mill Valley Film Festival, accruing over 30 awards. A YoungArts winner, Tang's works has garnered recognition from numerous organizations, including nominations for two National Student Emmys and the Scholastic American Visions Award.
As a Psychology major and a storyteller, Tang enjoys exploring concepts related to learning, behavior, and identity and employs a psychological lens throughout the production process
