The idea is to screen films that are inclusive, diverse, and invite the audience to experience a variety of languages and cultures.

MIFF is recognized as one of the fastest-growing international film festivals in Europe, using independent film to shape a creative community, allowing filmmakers to feel inspired, network, and thrive in this idyllic Mediterranean island paradise.

For seven days EMIFF’s program is curated to showcase a culturally diverse, inclusive and provocative mix of feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos, films for kids, experimental films, animation shorts, student films and a feature film and short film screenplay competition.

Some of our resent programs included award winning films such as:

  • Evolution Mallorca was such a wonderful experience with great locations, good networking opportunities and charming volunteers/staff. I was very happy to share my short film, El Gato Feo, with the international audience. The talks and screenings with A-list talent were really fun and informative. And Mallorca is such a beautiful place to explore when not attending festival events. (Which are plentiful!)

  • First of all, I was not there. It looks like a very good Festival. It’s a real thing. No scam at all. BUT for me, as an underground filme maker, it was only expensive. My film got screened, but with absolutely no effect. Somewhere 10 a clock in the night. It’ cost me quit a lot of money. Again, saying this from a perspective as a undergrounder film maker. The communication between the festival and me was very good. But you don’t get any exposure. So I was paying the entry fee, I had to pay a spanish subtitle, Someone who place these subtitles into the film, an extra dcp for this. So It was quite expensive for running in a screening that is more a side kick for the festival. No mention about the project or this specific screening in their social media. I would not be part in this again. Again, I am saying this from a perspective of an self financing underground film maker. You don’t get much value out of it or very, very little. But you will see a lot of images from Mads Mikkelsen drinking Rose at the festival. If you are like me, that’s not your festival. As long your film is not spanish anyhow. Or money is not a problem for you. :) Waste of money if it is.

The Evolution Mallorca film festival was one of the best festival experiences we have ever had. The most beautiful location and venues create an incredible atmosphere for viewing their extremely well curated programming.
The level of industry and celebrity present here was absolutely top tier, but along with that comes a personal and intimate experience like no other.
This fest makes a real effort to connect filmmakers to opportunities. Expect to find A list actors, producers, directors and cinematographers shooting the s*** at local bars late into the night.
Great networking, great friendships formed, and great films.
We won the best screenplay award and were treated wonderfully.
