We specialise in representing bold, author-driven features and shorts, and collaborate closely with filmmakers to create tailor-made festival, distribution and sales strategies. By curating a small selection of films per year, we make sure every film we work on gets the attention it requires to realise its full potential.

Fuelled by artistic expression and limited only by their runtime, short films transcend traditional storytelling. They are a significant and popular way artists can connect with audiences. From documentary to animation, narrative to experimental, the abbreviated form is no longer just for the novice. Shorts have and will continue to be at important part of cinema, storytelling and culture. To further support talented filmmakers in all phases of their careers, the agency broadened its scope to encompass fiction and documentary feature films.

NewBorn Short Film Agency was founded in 2013 by Dimitris Argyriou, a Berlin-based film director, producer and former film programmer in film festivals such as International Short Film Festival in Berlin – Interfilm, Fest: New Directors/New Films Film Festival, Aegean Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival & Greek Film Festival in Berlin. Dimitris decided to start NewBorn Short Film Agency to help other filmmakers to raise their film voice!
