With your submission you automatically accept our Rules and Terms!
To submit a film, you must have created the project yourself, own the rights or have permission from the owner of the content to submit the film to us, you are entitled of that responsibility and you as a filmmaker YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE RIGHTS OF YOUR FILM.
1. Only work created after 2019 is acceptable.
2. You agree to use parts of your film (including trailer/teaser/film poster/stills) for promotional purpose.
3. Multiple entries are allowed for each filmmaker and each entry may be entered in multiple categories.
4. Entry fees are non-refundable.
5. By submitting to the festival you confirm that you own the rights to the work submitted.
6. We are accepting all lengths of movies.
7. No Premiere status is required.
8. We do not accept extremist or propaganda content from religious or political organizations.
9. If your movie will be selected for a live screening session, we do not pay for accomodations or any other expenses. The festival WILL NOT cover any filmmaker expenses. You will be totally responsible for your airfare, accommodation and other travel expenses.
10. Films in languages other than Italian or English only be accepted with Italian or, at least, English subtitles. Don't hesitate to contact us for questions, because we can give a solution.
11. Only the movies notified 7-30 days before the live event via mail will be screened.
12. You agree that we can use your email address for newsletter or promotional purpose. The information about the entries can be disclosed to present and future film festivals under the same organization company of the "Magical Cairo Montenotte International Film Fest". We will NEVER sell your information to 3rd parts.
13. "Magical Cairo Montenotte International Film Fest" DOES NOT PAY SCREENING FEES.
14. You confirm that you have all rights of your project.
15. If the movie is not in Italian or English, in case of screening selection we will ask you a SUB-ITA/EN version of your movie. Contact us for more information if needed, as mentioned art. 10
16. The Festival will give screening priority to films with representatives. The priority is for those who are at the Festival (Including Local Filmmakers). If you are not able to come but your project win something, we will sent your certificate via email.
17. If your film is selected by our festival, you automatically agree that we may use images from your project for marketing purposes for our festival. If you do not agreed, and do not consent to give us promotional rights to your material, please let us know via email; and then we will withdraw your film from the promotion of our festival. If we do not receive any notification from you within 48 hours after your film is selected, we will assume that you agree this policy.
18. At our discretion, we may choose to transfer a film to the correct category, but only if the appropriate level of submission fee has been paid.
With your submission you also accept all the Rules & Terms of FilmFreeway.

Judging Process
All submissions will be viewed in their entirety. Submissions will be judged and scored based on criteria including: quality of screenplay, acting, production quality, originality, technical proficiency, cinematography, sound design, editing and set design. We support indie filmmaking and will award additional points to projects produced on a micro budget and/or minimal crew.
Official selection of your movie will be notified by mail.
A separate email will be sent if you can attend in our Filmfestival.
The movies that we screen are based on selection and attendance of the filmmaker (or cast/crew).
The annual winners will be announced live at our awards show, Saturday 20th September 2025
Notification
The directors of submitted films that are accepted will be notified via e- mail.
Venue & Event Date
The Festival venue or the event date could be change during the organization due to events, technical choices or circumstances.
Fee Waivers
We work hard to keep our submission fees as low as possible – consequently we cannot provide fee waivers.

1. Sono accettabili solo le opere create dopo il 2019.

6. Accettiamo film di qualsiasi durata.
7. Non è richiesto lo stato di Premiere.
8. Non accettiamo contenuti estremisti o di propaganda da organizzazioni religiose o politiche.
9. Se il tuo film verrà selezionato per una sessione di proiezione dal vivo, non pagheremo l'alloggio o altre spese. Il festival NON coprirà le spese del regista. Sarai totalmente responsabile del tuo biglietto aereo, alloggio e altre spese di viaggio.
10. I film in lingue diverse dall'italiano saranno accettati solo con sottotitoli in italiano o almeno inglese.
11. Verranno proiettati solo i film notificati 7-30 giorni prima dell'evento dal vivo via mail.
12. Accetti che possiamo utilizzare il tuo indirizzo email per newsletter o scopi promozionali. Le informazioni relative alle iscrizioni potranno essere comunicate ai festival cinematografici presenti e futuri nell'ambito della stessa società organizzatrice del "Magical Cairo Montenotte International Film Festival". Non venderemo MAI le tue informazioni a terze parti.
13. "Magical Cairo Montenotte International Film Festival" NON PAGA I COSTI DI PROIEZIONE.
14. Confermi di avere tutti i diritti sul tuo progetto.
15. Se il film non è in italiano, in caso di selezione per la proiezione ti chiederemo una versione con i sottotitoli in ITALIANO del tuo film.
16. Il Festival darà priorità alla proiezione dei film con rappresentanti. La priorità è per coloro che sono al Festival (compresi i registi locali). Se non puoi venire ma il tuo progetto vince qualcosa, ti invieremo il certificato via e-mail.
17. Se il tuo film viene selezionato dal nostro festival, accetti automaticamente che possiamo utilizzare le immagini del tuo progetto per scopi di marketing per il nostro festival. Se non sei d'accordo e non acconsenti a concederci i diritti promozionali sul tuo materiale, faccelo sapere via e-mail; e poi ritireremo il tuo film dalla promozione del nostro festival. Se non riceviamo alcuna notifica da parte tua entro 48 ore dalla selezione del film, assumeremo che tu accetti questa politica.
18. A nostra discrezione, possiamo scegliere di trasferire un film nella categoria corretta, ma solo se è stato pagato il livello appropriato di quota di iscrizione.
Con la tua presentazione accetti anche tutte le regole e i termini di FilmFreeway.
Processo di valutazione
Tutti i lavori presentati saranno esaminati nella loro interezza. Le opere saranno giudicate e valutate in base a criteri quali la qualità della sceneggiatura, la recitazione, la qualità della produzione, l'originalità, la competenza tecnica, la fotografia, il sound design, il montaggio e la scenografia. Sosteniamo il cinema indipendente e assegneremo punti aggiuntivi ai progetti prodotti con un micro budget e/o una troupe minima.
La selezione ufficiale del vostro film sarà notificata per posta.
Un'email separata sarà inviata se potrete partecipare al nostro Filmfestival.
I film proiettati si basano sulla selezione e sulla presenza del regista (o del cast/crew).
I vincitori annuali saranno annunciati in diretta durante la nostra premiazione, sabato 20 settembre 2025.
Notifica
I registi dei film presentati e accettati saranno avvisati via e-mail.
Luogo e data dell'evento
La sede del Festival o la data dell'evento potrebbero subire variazioni durante l'organizzazione a causa di eventi, scelte tecniche o circostanze.
Esenzioni dalle commissioni
Lavoriamo sodo per mantenere le nostre tariffe di invio il più basse possibile, di conseguenza non possiamo fornire esenzioni dalle commissioni.
