From my first communication with Minikino, I understood that this was a festival that really cared about both the work and the filmmakers involved. Though I couldn't get to Bali unfortunately (!), I felt connected to the whole process through the courteous and respectful correspondences throughout. We had extensive discussions about how to subtitle my multi-voiced project that showed the programmers' thoughtful attention to the specific needs of my video. I also appreciated all the follow-up with the reports about the festival's impact. I hope I can make it to Bali next time!
