Minikino Film Week has always been an in person festival, with projection screens and an audience presence. Festival screenings are held in micro cinemas and pop up cinemas in various places throughout Bali. This statement also counted during difficult times in the 2020 and 2021 editions during the Cov19 Pandemic.
MFW9 Short Film Festival presents the international official selection short films and showcase programs that comprises annual national short film program exchange (Indonesia Raja), South East Asia (S-Express), the annual national competition Begadang, the international collaboration and network programs.
Meanwhile the SHORT FILM MARKET sub-events, presents with exhibitions, talks & seminars, workshops, VR Room and the short film library. Pushing towards the global ecosystem of the short film industry.
Minikino reaffirms that short films are cultural products with cultural and social values from the artists who live in that society. And we believe that culture can only exist and develop with exchange, not isolation.
