MATE Music Video Awards is an international showcase of music videos and music documentaries celebrating the encounter between music, cinema, and contemporary visual languages. Integrated into the official program of the MATE Festival | Music, Art, Technology, and Education, it honors works marked by aesthetic innovation, narrative strength, diversity, and social impact.

The 2026 edition takes place from October 24 to 27, at Casa do Cinema de Coimbra, as part of the commemorative programming for MATE Festival's 10th anniversary.

The showcase features five categories: Best Music Video, Best Documentary, Best Animation, Best Body Performance, and Low Budget.

Entry Deadlines:
Early Bird — August 9, 2026
Regular Deadline — August 29, 2026
Late Deadline — September 19, 2026

Finalist projects will be notified by September 30, 2026.
Selected works will be presented in special sessions, with the presence of professionals from the music and audiovisual industries and media coverage.
All registrations include access to the full four-day MATE Festival program.

Maximum duration recommended: 100 minutes

Open to artists, bands, directors, and producers from all countries

All languages are accepted (Portuguese subtitles recommended)

Participants must hold the copyright of the submitted material

Excerpts from selected works may be used for MATE MVA and MATE Festival promotion
