The Media Arts Film Festival at Western Connecticut State University highlights the best student submissions over the past year. MAFF brings together students and faculty from various disciplines. Categories include short fiction, short non-fiction, spots, animation, digital interactive media, music videos, news, soundscapes, short screenplays, and novice. Admission is free and the event is held at WCSU in May. The MAFF is sponsored by the Broadcast Education Association, WCSU chapter.
