Luminous Frames Indie Festival is an international film festival, with seasonal events and live screenings in four countries along with an annual awards ceremony in Denmark.

LFIF is particularly looking for independent short films in all genres, especially those which have been historically underrepresented. Gender and ethnic diversity, human rights, and environmental issues are all of the high interest.

We have four seasons with varying themes and each season, our professional and international jury will judge the submitted projects. The seasonal winners are automatically qualified to compete at the LFIF annual competition.

The aim of LFIF’s first edition is to bridge between filmmakers and photographers all over the world and to put their Luminous Frames under the spotlight.

All the applicants in any of the contests are eligible to submit their work for multiple categories.

After the first year of the festival in Denmark, LFIF will hold its Academy of Education and Film Club in Canada, Australia, Denmark, Iran, and Turkey.

By attracting university lecturers and creative artists as our professional critics, Luminous Frames intends to establish itself as a reputable web magazine in the field of film and photography reviews.

We have special promotions for our official selections and the winners at the end of each season.

All submitted films should have English subtitle.
All films must have been made in or after 2015.
Only in "Memento" category you can submit shorts from 2000.
All genres are accepted with a maximum length of 40 minutes.
Filmmakers are responsible for the copyright on their own materials and must have the rights to the material (e.g music) used in the film.
By submitting to LFIF, you give us the right to screen your film in front of a live audience.
LFIF may promote clips from your film on social media, based on the press kits you provide us with and some part of the original movie.
LFIF retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed about any changes through our online platforms.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
Filmmakers own all the rights to the film.

By submitting a single photo to the PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST section you gain access to submit other photos as much as you desire with half price with a discount code that send you by an email after a single submission.The luminous Frames photography contest has a particular judging panel, which is completely run by the professional jury with a proficiency in each category.
