At L.G.F.A., our goal is to motivate and inspire this generation of filmmakers to push their limits and dazzle the world!

Our community is worldwide, meaning that, even for those who do not win, taking part is a valuable experience. Competitions are open to everyone - we love to see passion projects brought to life.

When it comes to subject matter, our audience is ready for anything. The only thing we ask is that your project have English subtitles. This is because, even though our community is worldwide, all live screenings take place in the British capital, London.

Our jury has many decades of experience in the industry - having worked alongside filmmakers such as Jackie Chan, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Ewan McGregor, to name but a few - so we offer a wealth of wisdom to all participants.

Rules & Terms

All submissions to the short film contest:

- must be less than 40 mins in duration
- can be in any language, with English subtitles
- must be at least 1080p HD quality
- must not incite hatred towards any demographic, based on their race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual-orientation or disability, for example.

All submissions to the screenplay contest:

- must be 150 pages or less
- must be in English
- must be a professionally formatted .pdf file
- must not incite hatred towards any demographic, based on their race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual-orientation or disability, for example.

All winners (including Honourable Mentions) are eligible to buy an official trophy!

    Very much appreciated this first-time experience with London Global Film Awards. Smaller intimate venue in a great location. Our hosts were gracious, and email communication was timely and courteous. Also enjoyed the quality of the winning projects that were screened. Exceptional work by talented film makers.

    I am overall very pleased with the festival and the festival team. I think, however, that the screenings should include all selected films. We would have liked to attend, but knowing our film would not be screened, decided not to come. Perhaps the festival should last 2 days - with a reception one evening and screenings all the next day before awards are announced?
    I also note that you offer awards for actors and actresses,but not for voice narrators. Narrative and documentary films are heavily dependent on the voices for their impact and artistry.
