Adam S. Kuhl is a British screenwriter working across historical drama, political thriller, and speculative science fiction. His work explores power, moral compromise, and individuals caught between ideology and humanity, often set against moments of historical or societal fracture.
His projects include Embers: Empire & Dynasty, a sweeping historical trilogy set during the Second Opium War and its aftermath, The Leader, a near-future political thriller set in a Britain destabilised by a catastrophic fuel crisis; and Chronos Seed, a science-fiction series following the survivors of a doomed orbital exodus who crash-land in the distant past.
His short film The Last Launch was selected for the Purgatory Film Festival and has also won the Best Short Film Script at the London Global Film Festival.
Embers: Empire & Dynasty has recently won The Bangkok Critics Choice Award at the Bangkok Movie Awards.
Adam's writing combines historical research with character-driven storytelling, often examining the moral tensions that emerge when personal conviction collides with political power.
