Linua Land was born in 2001 and grew up in the Bavarian countryside. While studying Theatre, Film and Media Studies at University Vienna, she worked as assistant director and stage director in several opera houses and theaters. Since 2024 she studies feature film directing at the University of Television and Film Munich. Her short films focus on queer approaches to closeness and have received several awards, including two GoldFiSH Awards, the Movie Slam Award (Cinema Talks 2025), and the Bavarian Youth Film Prize 2022.
