Linea d'Ombra Festival - VedoVerticale/My Vertical View competition

Linea d’Ombra Festival is an international film and audiovisual festival conceived and promoted by the SalernoInFestival Association, supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the Campania Region and the Municipality of Salerno, and implemented with the contribution of public and/or private entities, associations, foundations and sponsors. The Festival adheres to AFIC (Association of Italian Film Festivals) and to CFCC (Coordination of the Campania Region Film Festivals).

The Dates
The twenty-seventh edition will take place in Salerno from 22 to 29 October 2022.

The Project
Linea d'Ombra Festival is an event that aims to raise awareness and to promote the best international cinematographic and audiovisual productions, to relate the different forms of youth creativity and to promote their knowledge among the public, to develop projects that have an effective educational impact and productivity, to encourage the realization of collective works of young artists coming from different experiences, finally to enhance the cultural potential of the Campania Region on a national and international level.

Competitive section: VedoVerticale
Short films of any genre with a maximum duration of 5 minutes (credits included), conceived and made in 9:16 format (1080x1920) with any digital device between 2020 and 2022, are admitted to the competition. The number of works admitted to the section in competition will be defined by the artistic direction and may vary according to the needs of planning and design coherence.

The films in competition will be judged by the festival's LdOSocial jury. The winning film will win the "Linea d’OmbraFestival - VedoVerticale 2021" Award and a cash sum of € 500.00 (five hundred / 00 euros).
The artistic direction reserves the right to give special mentions to those films that have demonstrated particular technical and creative qualities.

How to enroll
a. The videos must be sent using the online registration platform:
www.filmfreeway.com

b. Registration is free.

c. The deadline for registering to the pre-selection is 1 September 2022 at 24:00;

d. The registration of the work in the competition implies full acceptance of these regulations. For any controversy, the Italian text prevails. For anything not covered by this regulation,
the organization of the festival reserves the final decision.

e. By accepting these regulations you authorize Linea d'Ombra Festival to use the selected films
for the competition in the VedoVerticale category and in any other activity directly organized or sponsored by the Festival itself, even outside the dates of the review.

Admission in competition and screening formats:
The artistic direction will communicate the official registration in the competition of the preselected films by 10 September 2021. Upon receipt of this communication, the following materials must be sent with absolute priority, via e-mail or via file transfer service, to intmanager@lineadombrafestival.it :

projection file in .mp4 format (Codec h264) in 16: 9 (res. 1920x1080 with rotation to the left
synopsis
director's bio-filmography (.doc, .rtf or .pdf format);
photos of the film and the director;
technical sheet of the film (.doc, .rtf or .pdf format).

Coronavirus Emergency
The organization of the event reserves the right to change the dates and methods of carrying out the festival in compliance with any provisions of local or national authorities due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It is therefore possible that part or all of the events and films of the Linea d’Ombra Festival will be presented online. In the latter case, all authors, producers, distributors involved in the festival may/must authorize the online presentation of their works, indicating any territories to be excluded, without prejudice to the protection of property and copyright.
