Leztrospective Film Fest celebrates the history and introduces the future of lesbian films, including look back at the great works of lesbian filmmakers and a program of new lesbian shorts.

Preference will be given to films in which BOTH the writer or director are women, but either the writer or director MUST be a woman. That must be clear from the credits on the screen.

Films should should not be available on commerical platforms like Netflix or Amazon, and we prefer films that have not been screened at local fests like Reeling or Chicago International Film Fest.

Leztrospective Film Fest is a program of PrideArts.

The Leztrospective Film Fest will screen virtually Sept 19 to 29 and must be submitted by the deadline of August 27, 2021.

If your lesbian film was previously screened in any previous PrideArts fest, please ask for a voucher waiver by writing to PrideFilm@gmail.com.

Rules & Terms

We define short films as being under 20 minutes in duration. The viewing committee will make the final selection for the screening.

Filmmakers will be notified about selected films and further requests by September 1.
