We encourage cinematic films of all dance styles to submit! Each film is watched from start to finish and carefully rated and selected by our curatorial team.

Please note that our focus is programming films under 15 minutes.

LA Dance Film Festival's mission is โ€œGathering creators and lovers of screendance in one place to celebrate dance film and inspire each other.โ€ Our team is made up of creatives that have been on the other end of the submission process and have attended film festivals with our own work. We try to create a festival that we ourselves would enjoy and are always coming up with ideas that would improve that experience!

Rules & Terms

โ€ข Films must be under ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜‚๐˜๐—ฒ๐˜€ including credits.

โ€ข Films must have been created in the last three years.

โ€ข Filmmakers must own the copyrights or have permission/clearance to all content including the music used in the film.

โ€ข If the film is selected, the Film Festival is permitted to use all images and film content to promote the festival.

โ€ข Once selected as an official selection, a film may not pull out of the festival or withdraw its submission.
