The KEMAH AWARDS- KHAEEM ENTERTAINMENT MASQUERADE FILM AWARDS & HONORS honors African American filmmakers, Actors, Actresses, Producers, Music Composers and Directors. KEMAH celebrates their talent, gifts, hard work, and perseverance in the craft of filmmaking. Independent filmmaking is the future of the film industry. Talented Black actors and filmmakers are telling their own stories in film and we are here to celebrate that to the fullest.

Rules & Terms

1. KEMAH programing committee will select Film Trailers at their discretion.
2. Film Trailers must be principally directed or produced by a person of African American descent.
3. Please submit Film Trailer Submissions only for Best Film Trailer Award.
4. Concerning Film Trailers; both nominated Film Trailers and Winners will be screened in front of a live audience.
5. Online previews accepted at FilmFreeway. All film works will be previewed via filmfreeway so be sure to upload the highest quality copy of your film work to filmfreeway.
6. In the event your Film Trailer is selected a copy of your trailer will be downloaded via filmfreeway.
7. Upon selection, high quality copies of your film's artwork and stills will be requested.
8. Artwork/Stills resolution must be at least 300dpi.
9. Film Trailers must not exceed 4 minutes in length.
10. Upon selection Actors, Directors, Cinematographer, Music Composer and Producer correctly spelled names and headshots will be requested.
11. Short Films/Feature length Films will be evaluated and previewed online for the purposes of selecting Best Actor, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Music Composer Only.
