Canadian Screen Awards- Qualifying!!
Junction North brings Northern Ontario non-stop screenings over 4 days of the year's outstanding stories from around the world. Starting as a showcase of Hot Docs favourites in 2013, Junction North became its own entity in 2017 running a curated programme of features with the years' best from top tier festivals such as Sundance, TIFF, Hot Docs, and Berlinale.
Now Junction North is expanding to a world wide call-out for new non-fiction works with the expectation of hosting Canadian, North American and some World premieres. We will be thrilled to welcome presenting filmmakers to experience the festival, and participate in artists talks, Q&As, and Industry-specific events.

- Films in languages other than English with English subtitles will be accepted for consideration.
- Short films: 1-30 min.
-Mid-length films: 31-69 min.
-Feature-length: 70 min. -120 min.
- Film should be completed work and submitted in a familiar downloadable format.
- Entrants are responsible for obtaining all necessary clearances, licensing, permits and releases necessary to have their films exhibited. The festival and organizers are not responsible for any infringement claims, including but not limited to credit, copyrights and/or trademarks.
- a selected entry will be considered "local" if it means either of these conditions: it was shot in Northeastern Ontario OR, the filmmaker currently lives full-time in Northern Ontario.
- A selected entry will be considered "Canadian" if it was shot in Canada, or the filmmaker is a Canadian citizen.
- By submitting to the festival you give us permission to screen your film in front of a live audience as well as post in an online viewing platform.
- The final program of the festival will be posted 10 days prior to the festival date.
- If accepted, your film will be in-competition for both Audience and Jury Awards.
