International Competition is open to shorts, medium-length and feature films. The festival is sponsored and organized by the Cultural CivitaFilm, in collaboration with: Mibact, City of Civitavecchia, Regione Lazio and Enel.

The 12th edition of the Festival will take place from June to October 2023 in several cities of the Region of Lazio and overseas.
The film screening competition will take place in Civitavecchia (Rome - Italy) from October 4 to 8, 2023.
The competition will be accompanied by events and cultural programming.
Further updates on other festival’s legs will be announced through social network channels.

Awards & Prizes

Juries composed of leading operators in the cinematographic sector and television, communication and entertainment will award the following prizes:
-Best Fiction
-Best Animation
-Best Documentary
-Best Tourism Promotional Movie
-Best Feature Film
-Critic Award

The Jury reserves the right not to award one or more prizes.

Rules & Terms


SHORT AND MEDIUM LENGTH FILM COMPETITION
They are admitted works of international production, of any size, produced from 2021 onwards and mandatory subtitled in English. They can take part in the competition shorts and medium-length films with a maximum duration of 55 minutes including receivables, belonging to the following categories: FICTION, ANIMATION, DOCUMENTARY and TOURISM PROMOTIONAL MOVIES.

NOTICE: If any work is be selected, Italian language subtitles in SRT file format or encoded in video will be requested. Further details may be sent via mail by the technical director of the festival.

FEATURE FILM COMPETITION
They are admitted only feature film. The film must be produced from 2021 onwards and with maximum duration of 105 minutes.

Each production company or distribution company can participate with one or more feature film.

For each work entered you must fill out the online entry form available at our website.
The works must be sent, mandatory subtitled in English, together with a poster and / or stills, the list of festivals and awards, and the author's biography. The works received without the required specifications will not be accepted unless a prior agreement with the Artistic Director. Any director may participate with more works (one work per category). Each production company or distribution company can participate with more works (subject to the constraint referred to in the preceding paragraph).

Works already submitted at previous call for entries of festival are not admitted.

    The festival is fantastic. The people that are organizing the festival are always there to help, and they are ready to help in every situation. They have been in movie production for many years and they have a lot of knowledge, so you can learn a lot from them. I am recommending competing in this festival to everyone, they will have great experiences.

    It was a great event, but definitely not about films. I met a lot of very nice people, not filmmakers though, who were very kind and helpful, and I appreciate that, but it's just that it didn't feel much of a film festival to me.
