The International Movie Awards: Rules & Regulations

Please read carefully before submitting your film. By participating, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Eligibility & Submission Guidelines
Ownership & Permissions: Submissions require proof of rights or permission from the owner.
Official Relationship: The competition's relationship is exclusively with the submitter.
Language Requirements: Non-English films must include English subtitles. For screenings, local subtitles for the edition are mandatory.
Intellectual Property: Filmmakers retain 100% of rights to their intellectual property.
Entry Fees: All fees are non-refundable.
Submission Process
Selection Process:

Not all submissions are selected for the official competition. Judges make independent decisions, and feedback on non-selected films is not provided.
Films selected for screening will be notified 4 weeks prior to the event. Requirements at this stage include:
Availability for Q&A sessions
Disqualifications: Films may be disqualified for inappropriate content or failure to meet standards.

Multiple Categories: Filmmakers may submit in multiple categories to increase chances of recognition, but selection is not guaranteed.

While filmmakers are welcome to submit their projects in multiple categories, the inclusion or opening of each category is not guaranteed for every edition of the festival.
The festival reserves the right to close, merge, or not open specific categories at its sole discretion, depending on programming priorities, jury evaluation, or the overall quality and number of submissions received.

In such cases, no refunds will be issued, and projects submitted to those categories may still be considered for other applicable awards or recognitions at the discretion of the jury and programming team.

Awards & Screenings
Trophy Awards: Winning categories vary based on submission quality and story. We do not ship or deliver statuettes.
Non-Awarded Categories: If no submissions meet the standards for a category, no award will be presented.
Nominee Status: Official selection does not guarantee screening. Selected projects move through the following stages:
Nominee → Semi-Finalist → Finalist → Winner or Honorable Mention
Additional Guidelines
Materials: Any physical materials sent to the festival are at the sender's expense.
Travel Insurance: Attendees should acquire comprehensive travel insurance as the festival is not responsible for personal incidents or damages.
Promotional Use: By submitting, you authorize the festival to use your poster, trailer, synopsis, and movie stills for promotional purposes. The full film will not be shared or distributed.
Feedback Option: Selecting this option allows expedited evaluation within 72 hours but does not guarantee selection.
Important Notes
Discount Codes: Valid only for film submissions, not for magazine purchases.
IMDb Credits: IMDb has sole authority to approve or reject credits.
Rescheduling: The festival reserves the right to delay or reschedule without refunds in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Non-Attendee Winners: Digital certificates are available upon request. Trophies are complimentary only for attending winners but can be purchased by non-attendees.
Official Communication: Correspondence is handled exclusively via email.
Code of Conduct
The festival does not discriminate based on origin, language, age, race, education, ideology, sexual orientation, or economic resources.
Censorship is not applied to any content, form, or technique.

By submitting, you confirm you have read, understood, and accepted the above rules, terms, and conditions. All guidelines are subject to change without notice.
