The International Film Festival of Oranjemund (IFFO) is a celebration of cinematic art, bringing together filmmakers, industry professionals, and movie enthusiasts from around the globe. Set against the backdrop of Oranjemund's stunning landscapes, this annual event showcases a diverse selection of films, fostering cultural exchange and promoting the art of storytelling through the medium of cinema.

The conceptual team sought to create an opening for Oranjemund as an artistic hub for film in the mind of the town and the international community at large. Oranjemund is unique as a source of inspiration for film and other artistic practices alike. With the rolling dunes of the Namib desert to the west, the Atlantic ocean to the east, the pristine mouth of the Orange River to the south and the Sperrgebiet nature reserve to the north; there is no shortage of landscape to draw on and to document.
