International Ecoperformance Film Festival

Please read the Rules and Terms section carefully before submitting your film. By submitting your film, you will agree to the Rules and Terms of Participation.

The 5th Ecoperformance International Film Festival, organized by Taanteatro Companhia (São Paulo, Brazil), will take place in June 2025, in two formats:

1) in person (Brazil, Argentina, Romania)
2) online (IEFF YouTube channel)

Note: The list of in-person locations may be subject to expansion and modification.

The Ecoperformance International Film is an independent production without sponsors. Therefore, it does not provide for remuneration for participating artists, awarded works and honorable mentions nor for transportation, food, and accommodation expenses for artists who wish to attend the exhibitions. If tickets are charged at popular prices in cinemas and in-person exhibition spaces, the amounts collected will benefit the partner spaces and not the festival organizers and artists.

For the first time, the 5th IEFF edition includes registration fees. Considering fairness criteria, these fees differ according to socioeconomic regions.
Make sure to submit to the category related to your region:

SUBMISSIONS

Submissions require meeting the following criteria:

a)
Registration period: November 18, 2024 to March 15, 2025
Year of production: 2020 - 2025
Film length: 2 to 25 minutes

b)
Compliance with the IEFF discipline;
Correctly filling out the FilmFreeway submission form, answering as much of the requested information as possible;
Compliance with YouTube (online broadcast venue) copyright policy;

c)
Agreement with the Terms of assignment of exhibition rights; the schedule, deadlines, locations, and conditions of the IEFF; and the use of images and information from films to promote the festival (releases, websites, posters).

d)
Films entered must have opening and ending credits as well as subtitles in English (in the case of films with texts and/or speech).

e)
If the film is selected, it must be available for download via YouTube, Vimeo, or Drive link (Google Drive, Dropbox, and Onedrive).

FESTIVAL SCHEDULE:
Registration: November 18, 2024 to March 15, 2025

Work selection period: until April 15, 2025. The curatorial team will select up to 50 films (depending on the duration) and the result of the curatorial process will be emailed to registrants on April 18, 2025.
From the date of communication of the results, the selected artists will have 10 days to send materials/information for exhibition and dissemination, that is, until April 28, 2025.

They are:
1) Download file of the film in high resolution for download (MP4 or MOV format);
2) SRT file with English subtitles, if the film contains texts or speeches;
3) Updated synopsis with up to 400 characters;
4) Updated technical data sheet with up to 400 characters;
5) Updated mini-bio of the group or artist with up to 400 characters;
6) Term of authorization for exhibition and broadcast of signed audiovisual work - available here:

7) Three promotional images for the film (files identified with "film title, year, photo credit");
8) Materials must be sent via Google form by the established deadline. The link to the form will be sent by email. Failure to send the materials within the established deadline will disqualify the film.

The selection period for works awarded by the international Jury is April 15 to May 15, 2025. The selection result will be communicated during the festival program.

ATTENTION:
1) The Internacional Ecoperformance Film Festival platforms the exhibition of films (conceived as ecoperformance and dealing with the intertwinement of environment, body, memory, and ancestry), not of registers of performances or other non-related subjects.
2) It is permitted to submit more than one film no matter the category.
3) The festival is not responsible for incorrect links, links without a password, or films removed before the curation deadline.
4) Please, maintain the film in the indicated location until July 30, 2025.
5) Prepare to send basic information about the film such as synopsis, recording location, technical crew, cast, and mini CV.
6) Please, pay attention to organizer emails sent during the production period.
7) Participating artists need to verify in advance their right to use songs in the soundtrack.
8) In case of exhibition restrictions due to copyright infringements on YouTube, the film may be removed from the program so as not to harm other participants.

O Filme Internacional Ecoperformance é uma produção independente e sem patrocinadores. Portanto, não prevê remuneração nem aos artistas participantes, às obras premiadas e às menções honrosas, nem às despesas de transporte, alimentação e hospedagem dos artistas que desejarem assistir às exibições. Caso sejam cobradas entradas a preços populares em cinemas e espaços de exibição presencial, os valores arrecadados beneficiarão os espaços parceiros e não os organizadores e artistas do festival.

TAXAS DE INSCRIÇÃO
Pela primeira vez, a 5ª edição do IEFF inclui taxas de inscrição. Considerando critérios de justiça, essas taxas diferem de acordo com as regiões socioeconômicas.

As submissões requerem o atendimento aos seguintes critérios:

Duração do filme: 2 a 25 minutos

b)
Conformidade com a temática do IEFF;
Preenchimento correto do formulário de submissão do FilmFreeway, respondendo o máximo possível das informações solicitadas;
Conformidade com a política de direitos autorais do YouTube (local de transmissão online);

c)
Estar de acordo com: os Termos de cessão de direitos de exposição; o cronograma, prazos, locais e condições do IEFF; a utilização de imagens e informações de filmes para divulgação do festival (lançamentos, sites, pôsteres).

d)
Os filmes inscritos devem ter créditos iniciais e finais, bem como legendas em inglês (em caso de filmes com textos e/ou falas).

Caso o filme seja selecionado, estar disponível para download via link do YouTube, Vimeo ou Drive (Google Drive, Dropbox e Onedrive).

CRONOGRAMA DO FESTIVAL:
Inscrições: 18 de novembro de 2024 a 15 de março de 2025

Período de seleção das obras: até 15 de abril de 2025. A equipe curatorial selecionará até 50 filmes (dependendo da duração) e o resultado do processo curatorial será enviado por e-mail aos inscritos no dia 18 de abril de 2025.
A partir da data de comunicação dos resultados, os artistas selecionados terão 10 dias para enviar materiais/informações para exibição e divulgação, ou seja, até 28 de abril de 2025.

São eles:
1) Download do arquivo do filme em alta resolução para download (formato MP4 ou MOV);
2) Arquivo SRT com legendas em inglês, caso o filme contenha textos ou falas;
3) Sinopse atualizada com até 400 caracteres;
4) Ficha técnica atualizada com até 400 caracteres;
5) Mini-bio atualizada do grupo ou artista com até 400 caracteres;
6) Termo de autorização para exibição e transmissão de obra audiovisual assinada - disponível aqui:

7) Três imagens promocionais do filme (arquivos identificados com "título do filme, ano, crédito da foto");
8) Os materiais devem ser enviados via formulário do Google até o prazo estabelecido. O link para o formulário será enviado por e-mail. O não envio dos materiais dentro do prazo estabelecido desclassifica o filme.

O período de seleção das obras premiadas pelo Júri internacional é de 15 de abril a 15 de maio de 2025. O resultado da seleção será comunicado durante a programação do festival.

ATENÇÃO:
1) O CineFestival Internacional de Ecoperformance promove a exibição de filmes (concebidos como ecoperformance e que tratem do entrelaçamento de ambiente, corpo, memória e ancestralidade), não de registros de performances ou outros assuntos não relacionados.
2) É permitido inscrever mais de um filme, desde que em inscrições separadas - um filme por inscrição.
3) O festival não se responsabiliza por links incorretos, links sem senha ou filmes removidos antes do prazo de curadoria.
4) Por favor, mantenha o filme no local indicado até 30 de julho de 2025.
5) Prepare-se para enviar informações básicas sobre o filme, como sinopse, local de gravação, equipe técnica, elenco e mini CV.
6) Por favor, preste atenção aos e-mails do organizador enviados durante o período de produção.
7) Os artistas participantes precisam verificar com antecedência seu direito de usar músicas na trilha sonora.
8) Em caso de restrições de exibição devido a violações de direitos autorais no YouTube, o filme pode ser removido da programação para não prejudicar outros participantes.
