INFIERNO EN LOS ANDES FEST METAL + CINEMA
Infierno en los Andes Fest: Metal + Cinema is a unique event that combines metal music with horror, fantasy, bizarre, and experimental cinema. In 2025, the festival will take place on October 29, 30, and 31, presenting its special edition “Transitando la Muerte” (Transiting Death). It will be an in-person edition, which will also feature live broadcasts of some activities such as talks and book presentations.
Organized continuously since 2008, Infierno en los Andes Fest celebrates its 17th anniversary this year, consolidating itself as a fundamental reference point for both the metal scene and independent cinema in Peru.
Since 2018, the festival has expanded its offering to include an Official Film Selection, featuring short and feature films with an innovative approach and a transgressive style. This addition has strengthened its identity, positioning it as a space where cinema and extreme music converge in an authentic creative symbiosis.
Thanks to its original character and commitment to underground art, Infierno en los Andes Fest continues to attract a diverse audience: metalheads, independent filmmakers, and lovers of experimental cinema, keeping alive the essence that defines it: METAL + CINEMA.
CATEGORIES
The festival's audiovisual segment has the following categories:
Best International Feature Film: Genre: Horror, fantasy, bizarre, science fiction, and experimental.
Best Peruvian Short Film: Genre: Horror, fantasy, bizarre, science fiction, and experimental.
Best International Short Film: Genre: Horror, fantasy, bizarre, science fiction, and experimental.
Best Latin American Short Film: Genre: Horror, fantasy, bizarre, science fiction, and experimental.
Best Metal Music Video.
Best Metal Documentary Feature Film.
CONSIDERATIONS
To submit projects to the Festival Programming Committee, applicants must consider the following:
They must contain subtitles and be attached in .srt format in Spanish or English if the film is not spoken in Spanish.
Up to three works per filmmaker will be accepted.
Short films must not exceed 20 (twenty) minutes. The work will be excluded from competition if it exceeds this limit. Feature films must exceed 60 minutes. And they must have been completed since 2023.
The organizing committee will consider audiovisual productions in the genres of horror, fantasy, bizarre, science fiction, experimental, metal music videos, and documentaries about the metal scene.
The director and/or producer of the audiovisual production authorizes its inclusion in the festival's video library for future traveling exhibitions.
The productions received may be used for the promotion of the Festival (using part of the video, not its entirety; the teaser or trailer may be used).
Directors must be the authors of the audiovisual works and agree not to submit audiovisual materials and/or phonographs for which they do not have the rights of use.
The Festival organization is not responsible for the works or the improper use of intellectual property rights by the authors.
The Festival organization will appoint the members of the juries for each section.
Those who have an interest in the production and/or exploitation of the films submitted to the competition may not be part of the Jury. No film may receive more than two awards.
The Jury may propose special mentions, and no film may receive more than two mentions.
Applicants authorize the free exhibition of their works in movie theaters authorized by the organization during the days of the Festival.
The Festival reserves the right to select the participating works, determine which section each one will be in, and establish the order and date of exhibition.
Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of these rules. Any issues that arise during the Festival that are not covered by these rules will be decided by the festival organizers.

There is a registration fee for all short films, except for short films produced in Latin American countries and feature films (fiction and metal documentaries).

The deadline for submissions is September 27, 2025. This date may be extended if the festival organizing committee deems it necessary.
PRE-SELECTION
The pre-selection will be made by October 10.
OFFICIAL SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
The Official Selection in Competition and Exhibition will be published on October 15, 2025, on the website www.infiernofest.com, and the corresponding awards will be sent by email.
INFIERNO EN LOS ANDES FEST METAL + CINE
El Infierno en los Andes Fest: Metal + Cine es un evento único que fusiona la música metal con el cine de terror, fantástico, bizarro y experimental. Este 2025, el festival se realizará los días 29, 30 y 31 de octubre, presentando su edición especial “Transitando la Muerte”. Será una edición presencial, que además contará con transmisiones en vivo de algunas actividades como conversatorios y presentaciones de libros.
Organizado de manera ininterrumpida desde 2008, el Infierno en los Andes Fest celebra este año su 17º aniversario, consolidándose como un referente fundamental tanto para la escena metalera como para el cine independiente en el Perú.
Desde 2018, el festival ha ampliado su propuesta al incluir una Selección Oficial de Cine, donde se presentan cortometrajes y largometrajes con un enfoque innovador y un estilo transgresor. Esta incorporación ha fortalecido su identidad, posicionándolo como un espacio donde convergen el cine y la música extrema en una auténtica simbiosis creativa.
Gracias a su carácter original y su compromiso con el arte underground, el Infierno en los Andes Fest continúa atrayendo a un público diverso: metalheads, cineastas independientes y amantes del cine experimental, manteniendo viva la esencia que lo define: METAL + CINE.

El festival en su segmento audiovisual tiene las siguientes categorías:
Mejor largometraje internacional: Género: Terror, fantástico, bizarro, ciencia ficción y experimental.
Mejor cortometraje peruano: Género: Terror, fantástico, bizarro, ciencia ficción y experimental.
Mejor cortometraje internacional: Género: Terror, fantástico, bizarro, ciencia ficción y experimental.
Mejor cortometraje latinoamericano: Género: Terror, fantástico, bizarro, ciencia ficción y experimental.
Mejor videoclip metal.
Mejor largometraje documental metal.
CONSIDERACIONES
Para presentar proyectos al Comité de Programación del Festival el postulante debe considerar lo siguiente:
Deberán contener Subtítulos y ser adjuntados en formato .srt en español o inglés si la película no es hablada en español.
Se aceptarán hasta tres obras por realizador.
Los cortometrajes no deben superar los 20 (veinte) minutos. La obra quedará fuera de competencia si supera este límite.
Los largometrajes deberán superar los 60 minutos. Y deben haber sido culminados desde el 2023.
El comité organizador tendrá en consideración producciones audiovisuales en los géneros Terror, fantástico, bizarro, ciencia ficción, experimental, videoclip de música metal, documental sobre la escena metal.
El director y/o productor de la producción audiovisual autoriza que la misma sea incluida en la videoteca del festival para futuras muestras itinerantes.
Las producciones recibidas podrán ser usadas para la promoción del Festival (utilizando parte del video, no su totalidad, se puede utilizar el teaser o el tráiler), los directores deben ser autores de las obras audiovisuales y se comprometen a no presentar materiales audiovisuales y/o fonografías sobre los que no tengan derechos de uso.
La organización del Festival no se responsabiliza de las obras ni del uso inadecuado de los derechos de propiedad intelectual por parte de los autores.
La organización del Festival nombrará los miembros de los jurados para cada sección.
No podrán formar parte del Jurado aquellas personas que tengan intereses en la producción y/o explotación de las películas presentadas a competición. Ninguna película podrá recibir más de dos premios.
El Jurado podrá proponer menciones especiales y ninguna película podrá recibir más de dos menciones.
Los solicitantes autorizan la exposición de las obras en salas de cine autorizadas por la organización, durante los días del Festival
El festival se reserva el derecho de seleccionar las obras participantes, determinar en qué sección ira cada una y establecer el orden y la fecha de exhibición.
La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación del presente reglamento. Cualquier cuestión que surja a lo largo del Festival, no contempla en el presente reglamento, será decidida por la organización del certamen.

La inscripción al festival tiene un costo para todos los cortometrajes, excepto: cortometrajes producidos en países latinoamericanos, largometrajes (ficción y documental metal)

La fecha límite de recepción de obras es el 27 de septiembre del 2025. Esta fecha podría extenderse si el comité organizador del festival lo considera necesario.

La preselección estará para el 10 de octubre
SELECCIÓN OFICIAL Y NOTIFICACIÓN
La Selección Oficial en Competencia y en Exhibición se publicará el 15 de octubre del 2025 en la página web www.infiernofest.com y se enviaran los laureles correspondientes por correo electrónico.
