The International Film school Festival of Tetouan (Morocco) will take place from 7 to 12 of December 2026. You can now submit your film until July 31, 2026.

Our main objective is to promote the work of students from Film schools, universities and institutes specializing in film industry.

ORGANIZATION
The Association BIDAYYAT ARTCINE and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Tetouan organize the Festival in partnership with Centre Cinématographique Marocain and Moroccan and foreign organizations.

FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION AND AWARDS
The Festival offers an international competition of school films. A selection committee will announce the films selected at the official competition and the ones selected in the parallel sessions.
-The international competition Jury will awards the following prizes: The Grand Prix, The Jury Prize, Best Documentary, Best fiction, Best animation Prize, Human Rights Prize.

KEY DATES
-Registration is free.
-The Deadline for sending a viewing link of the film is set for july 31, 2026.
-A selection notice will be sent to the person responsible for registration in the month of October 2026.

ELIGIBILITY
-Is eligible for selection any film made in the context of movie training and or an audiovisual one.
-The films produced since september 2025
-All genres are allowed.
-Films must be in original version with English or French subtitles.

FESTIVAL REGULATIONS
FIDEC 2026

PREAMBLE
The Tetouan International Film Schools Festival (FIDEC) aims primarily to promote works by students and young creators from film schools, universities, and institutes providing training in image-related professions.
Article 1: Organisation
The Festival is organised by the BIDAYYAT Association and the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences of Tetouan, in partnership with Moroccan and international organisations, from 7 to 12 of December 2026.

Article 2: Programme
The Festival presents an international competition of films from film schools. A selection committee will be responsible for selecting films for the competition and for the parallel screenings.

Article 3: Entry Conditions
Any film produced as part of a film and/or audiovisual training programme is eligible for selection.
Films may be submitted provided that:
• The films have been completed since September 2025.
• All genres are accepted: fiction, documentary, experimental, animation.
• Films must be in their original language and subtitled in French or English.
• Submission is free of charge.
• Submitted files will be kept in the Festival archives.
Schools undertake not to withdraw their films after their selection has been confirmed by the Festival.

Article 4: Pre-selection
Film submissions must be made via the FilmFreeway platform no later than 31 July 2026.
Selection results will be communicated by email in October 2026.

Article 5: Delivery of Selected Films
Accepted screening format: DCP.
Files must be sent by email to infos.fidec@gmail.com.
The Festival must acknowledge receipt of the screening materials by 10 October 2026 at the latest.

Article 6: Jury
The jury shall be composed of recognised figures in the fields of cinema and culture. Anyone who has participated in any way in the production of films in competition may not, under any circumstances, be a member of the jury.

Article 7: Awards
The International Competition Jury will award the following prizes: Grand Prix, Jury Special Prize, Best Documentary Award, Best Fiction Award, Innovation Award, Human Rights Award.
Rights holders of awarded films undertake to include the full name of the award on all advertising and promotional material.

Article 8: Invitations
Directors of selected films will be invited to Tetouan during the Festival.
Guests may be asked to take part in professional meetings and public discussions.
The Festival covers accommodation and meals for its guests for the duration of the Festival.

Article 9: Media and Communication
The rights holders of a selected film grant the Festival, free of charge, the right to reproduce photographs and excerpts from their film (maximum 15% of the total duration) for promotional purposes in Festival publications, the press, television channels, and on the Festival website.
Additional screenings of the winners may be organised. Any selected film may be used as an educational resource in schools. These activities are cultural and non-commercial.

Article 10: Disputes
These regulations are drafted in French and translated into English. In the event of any dispute, only the French version shall be deemed authoritative.
Only the Permanent Secretariat is authorised to rule on matters not provided for in these regulations.

Participation in the Festival implies full and unconditional acceptance of these regulations. The Festival reserves the right to make the final decision on any matter not provided for in these regulations.
