Overall Rating
  • As a screenwriter for the comedy script, Hal The Spud King of Japan, I was honored that it was selected as an Award Winner and you chose this fun, irreverent story of three misfits trying to solve the problem of world hunger by building an underwater farm. You got it. Thank you.

I was delighted with the selection for my short script, "First Date- Third Date", and with the communication I received throughout the process; there was feedback as well. Thank you very much. Mac

  • It was a thrill to see that the Houston Comedy Film Festival was still holding a live event and taking extra care during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was also a fun experience to have my film "Bad B****" shown at a drive-in theater. There was a mixup on my end with the emails about attending the Festival but fortunately, they still accommodated our screening and me and my cast and crew greatly appreciated how supportive and helpful the Festival was. We had a great time and it was a magical experience seeing my cast and crew light up with laughter under the Texas night sky. Very grateful for all they do for the Filmmaking community. Highly recommended.

Although sadly we weren't able to attend, this was a great festival to be a part of. We loved having our film screen here and can't wait to do it all over again!
