Welcome to the 1st Annual Hispanic Heritage Film Festival (HHFF), where storytelling meets culture in the heart of South Florida! Join us in Miami from October 11 to 13 as we showcase groundbreaking films from talented Hispanic filmmakers.

HHFF is more than just a film festival—it’s a vibrant celebration of Hispanic cultures, featuring powerful stories from across the globe. From captivating films to engaging panels and immersive visual arts, we’re creating a space where film lovers and creators alike can come together to celebrate the richness of Hispanic heritage.

Our mission is to provide a world-class platform for independent filmmakers, offering a place where their work is honored, appreciated, and shared with audiences who are as passionate about culture and cinema as we are.
Come be a part of this vibrant experience—let’s celebrate the voices and visions that make Hispanic storytelling so extraordinary!

MISSION STATEMENT:
The Hispanic Heritage Film Festival was created to address the lack of authentic Hispanic representation in South Florida’s cinema scene, despite the region's large Hispanic population. Our festival fills this gap by showcasing entertaining, thought-provoking, and unique films that celebrate the richness and diversity of Hispanic culture.

Our mission is to build a thriving platform where Hispanic films can flourish and gain the recognition they deserve in the U.S. We are committed to screening films that are unapologetically Hispanic, foster a sense of community, and reflect the distinct voices of their filmmakers.

Your involvement plays a crucial role in establishing a lasting connection between Hispanic films and U.S. audiences. Every film we screen helps strengthen this important bridge for Hispanic cinema.

The HHFF festival celebrates and supports filmmakers from Hispanic countries and the diaspora, as well as filmmakers whose work focuses on Hispanic culture. Submissions are accepted exclusively from Hispanic diaspora filmmakers, as well as filmmakers whose work features Hispanic diaspora themes. The Festival welcomes submissions of various forms, genres, and lengths.

Please take note of the following guidelines for film submission:

1– The person submitting the film must either own the rights to the film or have obtained permission from the owner.
2– All fees paid for film submission are non-refundable.
3– The Festival's official communication will be directed exclusively to the person submitting the film.
4– Films must have Spanish subtitles for the dialogue parts that are not in Spanish.
5– Films must have English subtitles for the dialogue parts that are in Spanish or another language.
6– Students must be able to present a valid Student ID in order to receive the student discount.
7– HHFF reserves the right to disqualify any film if its content is deemed inappropriate. If you have any questions about this decision, you can contact us.
8– You authorize HHFF to use, distribute, and share your film poster, trailer, synopsis, and film stills on our social media and website by submitting your film.
9– When submitting your film, you also consent to our Privacy Policy. We are committed to respecting each filmmaker's preferences. We may contact you via email or social media information provided during submission to update you on your submission status, confirm event ticketing, and provide information about events, services, and promotions that may interest you.

This small well-located film festival in the heart of Calle Ocho and the q&a that followed was ideal for my film and for the audience it attracted. We had over 30 viewers, filling up most seats. The actress who interviewed me and the hosts were lovely and accommodating. Communication was great. I enjoyed the other films and their q&a a great deal too! I highly recommend this festival.

It was an honor to open the first edition of the festival with my film. Communication from the organizers was top notch. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend but they always kept in touch with everything that was going on.
    Great programming!
    Looking forward for future editions.
