The festival has the goal of promoting and recognizing emerging screenwriting talent from around the world. Our festival brings together a diverse group of writers, industry professionals, and audiences to celebrate the art of storytelling and screenwriting. We are a team of film enthusiasts and professionals who are passionate about fostering a community of screenwriters and providing them with opportunities to showcase their work. Our festival is dedicated to discovering new voices and providing a platform for diverse and underrepresented perspectives in the film industry to promote their screenplays. We accept short, features, series and all genres of screenwriting. Our team of judges is composed of screenwriters, producers, and directors who are committed to identifying and rewarding the best in new and original screenplays. Each screenplay will be properly reviewed by our clear-sighted jury according to appropriate requirements of an expert analysis.

Rules & Terms

1. All scripts must be in English.
2. All entry fees are non-refundable.
3. Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted.
4. The decision of the festival selection committee will be final.
5. Scripts that are submitted must be the entrant’s original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
6. Organizers have the right to use film posters or your photos on public social networks to promote your project and our festival.

    As an overseas submitter, and an online submitter, the most important thing is communication. To this I can say that Golden Pen were top shelf and on top of everything they needed to be. Met their deadlines when they said they would with letting us know about deadlines, submission results , no delays and it's all there on their website too .

    Hospitality and Networking is something that you can only speak from if you're there, so hence only three stars, because I can't comment either way . I'm not going to give a 1 star, but i can't give a five star (I wasn't there!!).

    I will say that this is very much worth while entering your script into and I would recommend this festival to anyone.

    I was happy to have my screenplay SALLY AND GLEN AT THE PALACE nominated for an award, and appreciated the information that it was one of 30 selections out of more than 120 submissions. It's not clear to me what networking opportunities are available for a program focused on screenwriters.
