Get ready for a rip-roaring comedy extravaganza like no other, because FunnyAF is hitting the stage at the illustrious Limelight Theater in Atlanta, Georgia. This uproarious film and screenplay festival is your passport to a world of humor, wit, and boundless comedic creativity. Our mission is simple: to celebrate the art of comedy and spotlight the ingenious minds behind high-concept independent comedies. We're all about laughter, and we aim to:

Hail Comedy Mastery: FunnyAF is all about honoring the craft of comedy by showcasing outstanding narratives that tickle the funny bone, challenge conventions, and leave audiences in stitches. We zero in on high-concept humor, urging filmmakers to delve into zany ideas while pushing the boundaries of traditional comedy, all wrapped up in a package with breakout success potential.

Uplift Independent Comedic Visionaries: We're committed to giving independent comedians and filmmakers a stage to showcase their comedic brilliance. Our goal is to amplify diverse voices and unique perspectives that might not get a chance in mainstream comedy. We're all about the truly independent comedies, with a preference for films that had the crew crying with laughter on a budget under $1M.

Spark Laughter Innovation: At FunnyAF, we're here to spark innovation in the world of comedy. We encourage filmmakers to experiment with fresh comedic techniques, technologies, and storytelling methods that redefine the comedic experience and contribute to the evolution of the laughter industry.

Connect and Collaborate: Our festival isn't just about sitting in a dark theater, it's also about connecting and collaborating. We provide the perfect environment for comedians, industry professionals, and humor enthusiasts to come together, share a laugh, and exchange ideas. With uproarious panel discussions, hilarious workshops, and side-splitting Q&A sessions, we foster a sense of community and facilitate the exchange of comedic wisdom.

Funny AF is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the event for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening at the festival and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Funny AF from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

PREMIERE STATUS/WORKS IN PROGRESS: Feel free to submit any film regardless of premiere status, existing availability, or completion date. However, we do not accept works in progress. Films must be fully completed prior to submitting.

Very disappointed to submit my screenplay, have it accepted into the festival, then hear nothing back in spite of multiple attempts to get a response from organizers.

    Response from festival:

Hi Chad, we feel this review is quite unfair. We communicated with each other regularly leading up to the festival. After the fest concluded, our team took a much needed break and was not responding to non-urgent emails immediately. Which is reasonable, I believe.
