Fountain International Film Festival (FIFF) is an international film showcase created to present, celebrate, and amplify films that project the Gospel of Christ.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit and founded on the Word of our Lord in John 7:37–38, FIFF exists to use cinema as a vessel for faith, truth, and transformation. Our desire is to create an atmosphere where festival guests encounter stories that point them to Christ Jesus and awaken them to God’s purpose for the world.

For this year’s edition, our theme is “The Giver of Life,” as inspired by the Holy Spirit, with John 11:25 and 1 John 5:11–12 serving as the scriptural bedrock.

These scriptures reveal Jesus Christ as the resurrection and the life, and affirm that eternal life is found in Him alone. Through this theme, we invite filmmakers to submit works that reveal Christ as the source of life, hope, restoration, salvation, and eternal purpose.

FIFF also exists to amplify the voices of up-and-coming kingdom filmmakers from across the world. Through screenings, trainings, networking opportunities, incentives, and creative platforms, we are committed to helping Christian filmmakers grow in skill, visibility, excellence, and impact.

Rules & Terms

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Fountain International Film Festival (FIFF) accepts films and creative works made by Christian filmmakers who believe in the finished work of Christ.

All submissions must either preach the Gospel of Christ, point people to faith in Jesus Christ, or inspire a deeper understanding of God’s purpose as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

Films must not contradict the counsel of God as revealed in Scripture. Any work that points to salvation, faith, prayer, worship, or spiritual dependence in anyone or anything other than the Lord Jesus Christ will not be accepted.

As Scripture says:

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
— Acts 4:12

In addition to spiritual alignment, FIFF looks for excellence in execution, strong storytelling, clear plot and character development, engaging dialogue, convincing performances, strong visual appeal, and overall outstanding achievement in filmmaking.

All entrants will be notified of their submission status by email, whether selected or not.

By submitting your film, you grant Fountain International Film Festival (FIFF) the right to use clips, stills, posters, trailers, and other submitted materials for promotional and publicity purposes related to the festival.

By submitting your film, you confirm that you have the full rights, licenses, permissions, and clearances required for the project submitted, including all music, images, footage, artwork, performances, and other creative assets used in the film. You also agree to indemnify Fountain International Film Festival (FIFF) against any legal action, claim, dispute, or liability that may arise from the use, screening, promotion, or submission of such content.

Award-winning filmmakers are responsible for the cost of delivering or shipping their award plaque. Winners may choose any delivery or shipment service available to them, and FIFF will provide the necessary pickup or delivery details where applicable.

    What first attracted me to this festival was that it is for Christian and Faith Based films. We were sending our newest faith based film out and this festival also caught my eye because when most festival are charging an arm and a leg for entry fees, and then most want to nickle and dime filmmakers by charging them extra fees to be considered for everything else past "best film" (which is a huge turn off), The Fountain International Film Festival charged NO FEES at all. WOW! Thank you.

    These folks are very kind and before the festival, communicated very well. However, my only concern is the lack of communication now.

    Our film, THE TEXT was declared the BEST FEATURE FILM, and they sent me the most beautiful photo of the most gorgeous trophy with our name on it. However, that was the last I heard of them. I reached out, asking if I needed to send money to pay for the shipping costs, since I am in the USA and they are in Africa. And I have never heard back. I emailed them twice and sent one Facebook message as well, but have not heard, nor have I received our trophy.

    In the event there has been illness or a tragedy for them, I am so sorry and I hope that is not the case. I would just really love to receive the beautiful trophy, for which we are so grateful to have been declared the winner.

    Overall though, I loved this festival and the great folks running it.
