Candy J. Beard began writing books in 2005 and has published eleven titles. All of which are available on Amazon. She then began writing screenplays in January 2007. To date she has written sixteen feature length screenplay ( 5 have been produced), six short film scripts ( 5 have been produced) and she created and produced a television pilot (Old Folks Like Us).
She started her company, "Dreams Come True Films, LLC" in June 2011 and began production on her first feature three months later. She partnered with her son, Daniel in 2012 and they make a great team. In June 2016 Candy and Daniel also branched out to create "Dreams Come True Films Festival" in Terre Haute.
Candy is not shy about making films on tough topics, including domestic violence (In a Cage), child abuse, racism and bullying (Cries Unheard), mental illness and suicide (My Mother's Replacement) and child abduction (Vanished).
Candy has been happily married to Mark for thirty - four years and they have two sons together.
