Overall Rating
  • Fort Myers Beach International Film Festival = FANTASTIC. – A triumph of a festival, headed up by Kyle Thompson, who loves films and the art of filmmaking. He and everyone involved at the festival go above and beyond for filmmakers, which during normal times would be cause for celebration – but during a pandemic, is downright noble. Put this festival on your list of "must submits". They are a class act! Thank you FMBI for an amazing festival experience!

The FMBIFF was one that our team was looking forward to since last fall. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen pandemic, the festival had to postpone before eventually moving to a virtual format. While we were looking forward to enjoying a little Florida sand and surf during this event, we were blown away by the presentation and effort put forth by this incredible team. Everything coordinated virtually was incredibly top notch. There were virtual networking opportunities (incl. parties), screenings, a fantastic awards ceremony, and so much more. I want to thank Kyle and the rest of the team at FMBIFF for pulling out all the stops and making this virtual experience feel as close to the in-person event as humanly possible.

We were bummed we weren't able to travel to experience this festival in person, but the virtual experience was fantastic! Kyle did a killer job bringing it all together and making us feel valued as filmmakers. Will definitely be submitting to Fort Myers again in the future.

Like everything this year the festival was disrupted by COVID. Initally it was delayed and then the format was changed to online only. Through all of the chaos the festival director was in touch and communicative. I'm so happy that I was able to screen at the festival and when I have something to share with them in the future I will definitely submit again.

Considering that it all had to be online this year, they did a great job.
