Sara Oliva is an award winning actress, writer, director and producer who has performed in Chicago, New York, Boston, Miami, Tampa and Orlando. Her work has been praised in national such publications at the Chicago Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, Tampa Bay Times, Orlando Sentinel, The New York Times and others.
She received her BFA in Acting from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point, and her MFA from Brandeis University, where she was awarded a full fellowship. She has performed regionally all across the country, with renowned theaters such as Maltz Jupiter Theater, GableStage, American Stage, Orlando Shakespeare, Berkshire Theater Festival, Northlight Theater and others.
For Lioness, she won Best Actress from the Georgia Shorts Film Festival, and as nominated for Best Actress at the Soho Film Festival and First Glance Film Festival Philadelphia. For her work in theatre, she has twice been awarded Critics' Pick by the Orlando Sentinel for her roles in "A View from the Bridge" and "Top Girls". She was a Tampa Bay Theater nominee for her work in "Between Riverside and Crazy", produced by American Stage Theater. She performed the "Coriolanus" in with Shakespeare in the (Park)ing Lot, which was a New York Times Critics' Pick.
