Celebrating its 38th annual festival in 2023, the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) presents American indies and studio films, international films, student films, special tributes, seminars and introduces filmmakers to South Florida audiences. The festival runs November 3 – 12, 2023, and screens 200 films in Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise, Hollywood, St Augustine, and The Bahamas. Considered one of the most important regional film festivals in the U.S., the Festival's commitment to first-time filmmakers and innovative programming make it the perfect test market for your film.

If you are entering a STUDENT film, please include the name of your school.

Once you are accepted, we will need an MP4 file of your film, plus a YouTube trailer.

FLIFF retains the right to program all accepted entries, into FLIFF's Saint Augustine Film Festival which follows FLIFF's November dates, in January.

Okay…enough of that…the important reasons you should enter your film:

a) With our year-round arthouses Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale and Cinema Paradiso – Hollywood, we often book festival films that have played in FLIFF for commercial runs following the fest. Furthermore, we will introduce you either in person or virtually to the programmers in Key West, Miami, Miami Beach, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Jacksonville, St Augustine, Tallahassee, Tampa, and St Petersburg. We will assist you in devising a Florida release schedule following your festival schedule.

b) FLIFF is FUN! We have a great variety of parties, receptions and galas…and as a filmmaker in the fest, you will have access to all, including: The Opening Night Party (held at Seminole Hard Rock Casino; The Brunch Cruise aboard the Savoir Faire; The Centerpiece Party; a Gala screening at The AutoNation IMAX; The Veteran’s Day Cookout; The Wrap Party at Bailey Hall; plus nightly/daily receptions held in the Savor Cinema Courtyard.

Thank you for choosing my film, Resurgence, as a winner.

I had the opportunity to meet wonderful people from the industry, and it was a memorable experience. Greg, Bonnie, and the entire FLIFF team provide a larger-than-life festival experience, to say the least.

Greg and has team were great in communication and the events were fun. For me the highlight was the fact that my film was projected professionally on DCP in a real theater.

    Warren,

Your film, TIGER #24 was amazing. As a documentary, I learned a great deal about the people, culture and tigers! Can't believe how close, in the wild you go to your subject. And the power plus strength of this magnificent animal. Audiences were enthralled! Thanks for bringing it to FLIFF!

Awesome festival! Let me begin this review by noting that I have submitted and attended all manor of film festivals big and small and FLIFF was the best experience I’ve had so far. The red carpet opening was so much fun, they really provide a great environment to network and meet other filmmakers. The caliber of the films shown was really impressive and I made some great connections by attending. The organizers were very friendly and helpful and truly care about cinema and those who create it. I couldn’t recommend FLIFF enough for anyone looking to submit to a real film festival. It was an honor to be a part of it!

  • The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival was spectacular from start to finish - from the fantastic films, glamorous parties, networking opportunities to connect with other filmmakers and experiencing the curiosity, passion and excitement of the audiences. Festival Director, Gregory Von Hausch makes a tremendous effort to welcome and celebrate visiting filmmakers, with special perks, introductions, celebrations and awards. We were so happy to be a part of the festival, and honored to win the Best Florida Feature award! A thousand thanks to Gregory and the festival staff!

    With gratitude,
