Hey there and welcome to the Flint Short Film Freakout!
This is a one-day LIVE film fest focusing on short-form horror films being shown in Flint, Michigan. This is our second year for this festival but we've been involved in local film festivals for 13 years.
This is put on by fans, for fans.

We will present three prizes to the films that exemplify what we are going for with the festival.

We are looking for films 18 minutes or less in length.
Give us weird, give us freaky, give us strange.
We're into it.

We cannot wait to showcase more short horror films and help get these films in front of the eyes of fans. With your help, we will add a little more weird to Flint, Michigan!

Films will be played to an in-person crowd at the Flint Local 432.

We hope you give our festival a shot.

Rules & Terms

All movies must be your own or for which you have the authority to submit and were made no earlier than 2021.

Please keep your submission to 18 minutes or shorter.
(If you are submitting an AI work, make sure that it is listed as such clearly.)

WE WANT YOUR SHORT HORROR FILM.
But not in a weird way.
OR IS IT a weird way?
Weird. Strange. Dark. Yucky.
It's a Halloween show, so if you have a Halloween short, BONUS POINTS!
(Bonus points are imaginary and exist only in our hearts and wishes.)

Must have a digital copy of the film to submit so we can show it to a live audience.

Prize money will be awarded immediately after the festival.

IMPORTANT!
PLEASE keep an eye on your email and be able to get us your film within a week of being chosen for the festival, or we will have to move on to another submission.
