Welcome to the Fleurieu Film Festival - an annual competitive short film festival, set under the stars in the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.
Our goal is to encourage the creation and celebrate South Australian Filmmaking.

We welcome entries from elsewhere in Australia and International, but entries from South Australia are the only eligible films for Craft and School awards.

Priding itself on facilitating filmmaking experiences that nurture South Australia’s emerging and established filmmakers, the Fleurieu Film Festival is calling for short films 8 minutes and under (excluding credits) of any genre.

The 2026 Fleurieu Film Festival screening and awards night will take place in McLaren Vale, South Australia in February 2026. There will be fantastic prizes, sponsors and opportunities for filmmakers as well as great food, wine and live entertainment.

The festival offers a large prize pool to be won from our wonderful industry and regional sponsors.

The prizes we plan to award this year are...

Best Australian Short Film
Best Australian Documentary
Best International Short Film

Really enjoyed being part of this festival. The location for the screening, the staff involved, and communication from organisers was great! It's really important to support local events like this that care about developing and showcasing local talent from SA while helping build a filmmaking community. Cannot recommend highly enough!
