Festival is opened to UK and International university students (films in a different language than English must be submitted with English subtitles). We also welcome submissions from students who have graduated within the last two years, as long as the film was finished within the time the filmmaker was registered as a student.

We need students to attach a copy of their student ID and tell us where and when they studied.

By submitting your film you confirm that you are the director of it and you accept to take legal responsibilities toward it. It is expected that filmmakers still hold all of the respective rights required for their film before submitting. This includes all music, sound effects, product placement, actor/model release forms, etc. We have the right to choose whether or not a submission is suitable for display based on its quality, content, or copyright.

We may use a short clip of your film in our festival trailer. By submitting you are allowing us to also screen your film at the festival. There is no guarantee that your submission will be screened. First Frame Film Festival reserve the right to use for up to two years after the festival an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.
